Subject: Unusual and Non-Canon Objective Markers?

Recently an idea popped itself into my head at the speed of Mach IV and nearly blew my eardrums. Granted that may have been my MPIII, but still, an interesting moment for me. But I digress, and here's my idea:
Dragon  balls.
Yep. I've decided to make dragonball objective markers. Right now I'm just making them, so none of them have been finished just yet. All I'm doing is rolling up some green stuff into balls and putting them on a regular round base. I plan to paint them a blazing orange for the, well, orange and a gore red for the stars. I'll probably shade them as I go along but this idea is still in its infancy. I'll try and post some pics up of these fellows through creation and painting.
But this got me thinking. Have any of you lot made anything like this? Perhaps a Stargate or a malfunctioning R2 unit? Let me know!

One of the objective markers I made for my Orks is a bus stop.
I have a coke machine lurking on the ground floor of one of my ruins that used to often serve as an objective.
And we ran a three-way game here a few months back where the objective in the middle of the table was a KFC bucket from a model train building.

Some of those ideas were fantastic. I may have to steal some of them.
The slave girls would suit your needs Jolly'. I can imagine why a scantily clad lady would be an objective marker: There's a distinct lack of female warriors (Sisters and Sla'anesh excluded) so I wouldn't be surprised why a lady would be coveted.
As for the amount of dragonballs, there's seven regular balls on Earth and another seven on Namek, but Earth does have another set - the Black Star Dragonballs. They'll still grant your wish but it'll destroy the planet they're used upon.
I was thinking of doing three on one base, two on another and another two on seperate bases.

Objective markers I currently have or used to have:
* TARDIS (in progress)
* Stargate
* Stargate Ring Device
* DHD
I'll post pix when the TARDIS is painted, so I can upload the pics all in one batch.

I built my girlfriend a TARDIS, but at ~3" tall, it's completely out of scale for 28-ish mm games. Hasn't stopped me putting it on the table once or twice, though...

Queue Dr.Pepper theme. I love the sign. I was thinking of a similar terrain piece once upon a time. I might still do it.
I spotted a Police telephone box in a model store in Cardiff not so long ago. I didn't pick it up because it was too small in scale. I'll pick it up the next time I'm in there. The idea of the TARDIS in 40k is nothing short of a tantalising prospect!

I was using a bunch of fleeing, screaming frenchman for objective markers for no apparent reason a few monthes ago - might have been vaguelly related to the suedo sci-fi nazi look that some of my minis had at the time... who knows? I've also had a crate of Irn Bru as a proxy too -...if you've ever been to Scotland you'll get the significance, we live on the stuff (though this was before I discovered the wonder of booze though). Currently however I'm using much more proper markers, the battered remains of some of the former members of my guard regiment- ie the soldiers from that unit that kept fleeing all the time...not my fault they were used as a speed bump-, but I'll probably wind up making something a little crazier eventually.
...When was the last time I played a game that wasn't just everything" anyway?

The arm and the body look too clean. It looks more like you plucked them off the sprue rather than as if his legs/ arm were ripped off.

I have four that I've made. The first two are easy and can be made from any well stocked bitz box:
Eadz:
Gunz:
My most recent, and non-canon objective is this reaper model I liked a lot. It's a mimic from my D&D days. It's called the Reaper Mocking Beast, and only cost a couple of bucks:
I really love those Doctor Who objectives. Kinda makes me want to build a wrecks Dalek objective...

Ho-humm... Not gonna post my TARDIS because I painted on the details, and it looks crappy by comparison since I apparently can't paint a straight line worth a damn.
And I saw some of those Doctor Who models for sale on Ebay a couple of days ago... I was envious.
