Sup guys, I've started Orks now and I have bought a box of Nobz but in the new box there is no Waaagh! Banner, I would like to make a cool conversion of a Banner to make it look really cool and stand out. Are there Any tips on how to make a good converted Waaagh! Banner?

Just like a bosspole doesn't have to be an actual pole (trophy racks and iron gobs work, too), a waaagh banner doesn't have to be a cloth banner, if you're not confident in your ability to sculpt or thermoform plasticard. I've seen rather nice looking "banners" in the form of crude picket signs on steroids (obviously, with "WAAAGH!" smeared on in paint... or blood), which are relatively simple to make out of roughed up plasticard with a rod or tube handle. Glyph plate, skull, spike, and chain to taste.

Well, if youre going a gruesome looke, you could just mount a bunch of head on a stick. Im sure youve got plenty of em as I see youve done Tau
As said above, you dont need to make a banner. Hell, you dont even need to make a sign. For isntance something like a really big choppa, or a dead body. It can be "counts- as".

This is my biker nob's waaagh banner
It is quite small but I think its good size for bike.
I suggest you to make banner like Samurai holding the back of model, hanging heads of might foes.

Now that I think of it, you still have legos? They have some banners you might be able to use.

I know that you don't have to include a Waaagh! Banner for WYSIWYG, but I wanted to create my own that could stand out in my army that I am making, as it is a Kustom Klan, so I was asking for tips on how to make this banner.

I think I might have an old ork nob that has a banner if you want that.

*rolls eyes* boys and their... pictures...

Anyway, you could use the ork face on the top of a battlewagon and attach it to a stick, thats what a my cousin did and attached it to the nob and made the nob look like he was resting it against his shoulder.

I wound up using a banner from the Ogre Kingdoms Ironguts box (actually has a nice sized cloth banner) and then put the front of a bike on top. Shame I didn't take pictures before I traded away the army.

What does '?' mean? Adding an actual question made up of words is typically a better way to get a less-than-obvious sentiment across.

If you're confused about my comment, I said that I created the .gif in my sig using a program called Gif Builder. I created maybe a year ago, so it is entirely possible that he saw it back then...

I think he ment - "you havent posted any sugetions, so GTFO". The bloodletters box comes with a cloth banner which would look ok if you cut the khorne symbol off. It might look a bit chaosy though :/

You're on the right lines, but more like "Let's keep on topic and don't hijack the thread please."

A little hijacking is good for the soul.

The blank banner is out of a set of WH orcs, painted by me. Does it look like a WAAAGH! banner enough?

BTW, do youself a favour, if you are going to expand your 40k orks, get a set of WH orcs and intermingle the parts with the 40k boyz (same size.) It gives you a bit of variation. Plenty of dakka bitz in a 40k boyz box to go around too.

SM 1906 - 2nd Company Black Consuls
Tau 1850 - Eoro'Gal Ka'Lissera (Recon Cadre)

You can get a lot of different cheap banners off ebay by typing in "40k banner". For example, this one would make a nice base to start with, and they have several that are similar for cheap (maybe cheaper, I only glanced at them).

I'm sure you could find someone in the swap shop willing to trade you one for bitz, if you wanted to save money.
