I know, you have seen these before... But I find it so much more interesting if I have fluff for everyone in my army and I love the idea of having loads of character in an army, and I figured that my BA would be the best choice! Here is an example of your application, I will use Captain Castigon as an example!

Background: He grew up on a recruitment world used by the Blood Angels, and completed their tests with relative ease. He was immediately recruited, and placed in the scout company under the grizzled captain, Captain Borgio. They trained hard, and when finally called into battle he shone above the rest, destroying the enemy communications system with a few well-placed shots from his bolter. After suffering some losses, he and his lifelong friend were elevated to tactical marines, but separated into different companies, him the fourth and his friend the fifth. They fought apart for many years, until in one campaign they were called to fight together, the fifth and fourth companies. Aboard the battle barge orbiting Sendra II before the final battle in which the Blood Angels wished to crush any last resistance the two met, and arranged a meeting afterwards. But, it wasn't to be as Sergeant Castigon watched his best friend fall in battle to a chaos-worshipper. He picked up his friend's mace and slew the beast with it, followed by many more. His deeds may have been reckless, rushing into battle on his own, avoiding the plan, but they may have tipped the scales of victory in favour of the adeptus astartes. After heavy casualties, he was checked for symptoms of the black rage before being promoted to the rank of company champion. Soon he had performed many great deeds with his friend's power weapon still in his hand as a memory of his lost friend. He was promoted to Captain of the Fourth Company and Lord Adjudicator after countless battles and showing a great tactical mind, although some still say they saw a glimpse of the black rage on that day upon the planet of Sendra II, but none are sure.

Your own fluff can be longer or shorter than that, or just saying what your character is like. As you can see, Captain Castigon is strong of mind, a master tactician and a great warrior, if sometimes a little reckless. He can pull victories from the jaws of defeat, but also defeat from the jaws of victory with a single decision. With an angelus storm bolter and power weapon (his friend's mace) he can take on many a foe in combat, and his tactics prove sound even with his aging years!

There are the posts available, and as more people sign up and I fill as many of the posts as I can I will start another thread, this time with the battle statistics and the like on, which will show each individual's kills and the like. I hope recruitment goes well, and good luck against the fears you will undoubtedly face!

background: Served in the blood angels 7th Company for most of his career as an Assault Marine. Since his first Jump into Combat as a scout his superiors knew he had potential to lead as troops into combat so he climbed ranks quicker than others. once he became an Assault marine when himself and his squad jumped into the frae his comrades complined to him that for every kill they get about 3 for him. His first power sword that he received when becoming the sergeant for a Assault squad seemed to follow him. if it was lost in the heat of combat it would some how find its way back to him. During the 3 year war upon the planet SHADOWBLIGHT, the home world of the Shadow Legion Chapter (AKA my chapter), which was under attack from a Chaos Space Marine fleet. He was promoted to the 5th company as a Death Company Sergeant in the war. During this time he worked with a the Shadow Legion Vanguard Veteran Assault Squad. whom taught him how to win a fight with the help of his follow battle Brothers by equally splitting an enemy patrol so that every body gets a good number of kills. After many more battles and wars the 5th company decided to promote him to Company Champion.

Background: Romulus became a part of the command squad when he completed a mission to obtain some chapter history from a space hulk, and he and his squad were attacked by orks and he was the lone survivor and managed to be rescued along with the information that was needed from his squad. He was greatly thanked for his achievements and was promoted soon after.

Techmarine Ryzok always had an aptitude for inventive solutions. He spent one of the longest known periods of training with the Adeptus Mechnicus for his disregard of the theological aspect of his calling. To this day he remains a slightly unorthodox techmarine although there is no doubt to his effectiveness in field repairs or fine tuning the vehicles and weapons of the Blood Angels.

During the siege of Fellax Hive, where the 3rd company was bogged down in a unrelenting war of attrition by the orkish horde besieging them, he not only coerced the machine spirits of the void missile battery to resume firing after an Ork Gargant had all but destroyed it but he was also responsible for the annihilation of a large portion of the ork horde after rigging the main gates with several tonnes of improvised explosives at the 3rd company withdrew from them.

Due to his unorthdox approaches to his calling he spends most of his time in the field with active companies rather than in the chapters forges.

Likes: Plummeting out of the sky with a jump pack, overwhelming odds.

Background: Leddery has only one memory from his early childhood. Although the majority of his recollections are nothing but a dreamy haze thanks to the rigors of Blood Angel recruitment, he can distinctly recall an arguement between two men, one of whom he is sure was his father. One man was declaring that some course of action was too risky. Leddery's father replied 'Fortune favors the righteous.' Leddery lives this adage every day. As a warrior of the Emperor, he knows that his cause is the most righteous, and that fortune will never let him down. He takes great delight in the most risky tactics, for him, nothing is too dangerous. The plasma pistol he uses belonged to a former battle brother who gave it to Leddery after the pistol took two of his fingers off.

Leddery delights in the roar of his jump engines, the flash of his plasma pistol, and the rush he gets when his squad attacks a creature far bigger and stronger than any of them. If this 'Horus-may-care' attitude makes him slightly more susceptible to the Red Thirst than his squad mates, then such is the price for true fearlessness.

Likes: flying round battlefield with blood red wings poking out his back. Dreadnought armour. His shiny force wepon and dread close combat weapon
Dislikes: any form of anti tank weapons. Psychic tests and perils of the warp
Back ground: Epistolary Cornelius was crippled when he was fighting the Orks on Armageddon whle serving alongside commander dante. He was Interred in a furioso librarian Dreadnought sarcophagus. He is one of the oldest blood angels, older even than commander Dante at who's side he has fought both before his internment and after. He has now been Attached to the 4th company till commander Dante deems otherwise to help serve Sanguinius and the Emperor.

Well then coolyo, seeing as you are a death company dreadnought, you will probably have been inducted into the death company after being put in a dreadnought, so as a warrior you were the hero of a campaign on the desert planet Gaskana, where you led your fellow space marines to great victories against the Orks. One battle, your captain fell, and it was left to you, as the company champion, to challenge the warlord. In an epic duel, you were equally matched until he grabbed at you left arm with his power klaw. The reactor exploded, tearing the klaw apart but also most of your arm. The warlord now had a strength advantage, and used this to great effect, publishing your armour. But, at one point he lost his footing and fell down a giant sand dune, taking you with him. During the fall, you managed to stab him with your power sword, but your systems were to clogged up to continue filtering the harmful air. The deathly substances attacked tour organs, and it was left to brother Nicholas to encase you in dreadnought armour. Once a dreadnought you were attached to many different companies, before settling in the fourth. You succumbed to the black rage, yet fight on every battle to win against the opposition and your curse. The dreadnought armour and your strong willpower is all that is between you and being overwhelemd by the black rage. How's that?
