I always like to have a wide variety of weapons around for conversions. With my favorite weapons pack (Warzone Weapons) out of production, I've had to buy elsewhere and have been very happy with what I've found.

Though these aren't intended for Space Marine projects, I've used a Bolter and Bolt pistol for comparison due to their ubiquity.

Hasslfree
Purchased these from Rattlhead games. Great service and a good price with a pack of 4 or 5 weapons going for 3 bucks. Hasslefree has a really large range of weapons, and this only scratches the surface.

Human and Halfling weapons. An interesting mix of 5 very different weapons. The "Alien" style assault rifle and machine pistol are available in separate packs as well.

CAD guns Variant #10. The CAD series has a range of weapons from pistols to rifles to SAW's, (Squad Automatic Weapons) all in a slightly blocky style similar to PIG IRON Productions. They are sold in packs of 4 with only a variant number between 1 and 12 to identify them . #10 is a well done SAW. You don't see many separate Sci-Fi "heavy" weapons that arent' rediculously huge and this is a nice exception.

Grymn SMG. Intended as a SMG for space dwarfs, I use these as machine pistols for some VOID Junker conversions. 5 per pack.

Heresy
Though the Heresy figures aren't bargain priced, the weapons packs are one of the best deals out there, with the per weapon price (except for the sniper rifles) coming in between 25 and 35 cents a piece and very reasonalbe shipping from the UK. Except for the Sniper rifle and Shotguns, Heresy seems to favor a stylzied asthetic, somewhat similar to Warzone. Heresy has a few other guns, but this is a good representation of what they offer.

Terran Pistols. A nice selection of Pistols.

Mac Daddy (Semi Automatic) Pistols. These and the revolvers below come with right and left hand versions. They appear to be a good match for the 2nd generation Necromunda figs who come with separate weapon hands.

Revolvers. A good basic Revolver leaning a bit toward a classic western style.

Assault rifles. A nice rifle that folks will probably either love or hate. The most similar of the batch to the Warzone asthetic.

Shotguns. A very nice pair of shotguns that could easily span genres and eras from modern to sci-fi. These and the sniper rifles below will probably be the weapons that appeal most to GW converters.

Sniper rifles. Probably my favorite of the Hersey batch. Could also be an assault rifle or lasgun by shortening the barrel.

Overall, I'm very happy with all of these weapons. The Grymn SMG's were the only weapons that I bought for a current project, but I'm quite sure it won't be long before many of these find their way onto my figures. I really liked the variety in my Warzone weapons pack, but honestly, the less-spikey and less-cartoony style of the Heresy and Hasslefree weapons will likely result in me using them more often than the Warzone weapons.

hmm... this is interesting, a lot of them look like straight up lifts from GW's stuff.... either way, I will be checking these out. My guard are still about 60 men short... do they have heavy weapons to boot?

I would have said that they owe more to modern and historical wepaons than anything GW has cooked up. I can definately recommend the Hasslefree stuff though. Kitted out all of my line infantry with their CAD kit as well as my Stormtroopers. They are not as macro as the GW stuff though, so you might have to modify the standard Cadian arms a bit to make them hold the weapons properly.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Glad you found them usefull. I often wondered the same thing myself. The measuring tools many companies photograph their weapons with are good, but seeing them with something you are familiar with is just so much better.

Agreed. The sniper rifle is the only one that I would say has a strong GW influence. The others may have similarities, but owe more to other sources than GW.

In that case, you may want to check out CAD gun #4. A pretty cool assault rifle with a large magazine.
http://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/pack.php?pack=1063 Rather Dust'esque.

They don't have any heavy weapons as big as GW, but #'s 9-12 could provide Autocannons and/or Lascannons if you could convert up an ammo carrier or someone carrying a power source. It all depends how GW'ish you want them to be.
