Hi everyone! I had another game today of DoC and it was really fun. Although there was some funny stuff like a Bell ringing (Skaven) and destroying a building my Kairos Fateweaver was in and him dying because he has I1 after I fail my initiative test, but was still fun. LOL! I appreciate all the help I have been getting from the community here. It's been a lot of help.

Also, I found out today that its 25% Heroes and 25% Lords. When I first started building a list I was under the assumption that it was 25% for BOTH combined...At 2500 I will probably always take Kairos because he's so fun!

However at 2k, what greater non-named Demon would you take? Like many of you who have been helping me know I just started WHFB (2nd game ever today). I would appreciate any advice from anyone who knows about any of the Greater non-named demons. I have general questions about them like which one is the best to take in a 2k game? Why? What is their purpose? (eating backfield, mages, tank hunting, horde destroying etc.)

Note: *500 pt allotment for Heroes in 2k*

Lord of Change is awesome imho! If you already field Kairos, you´ll have awesome magic. But it´s a little too much point wise, to field that "many" expensive heroes/lords at 2k pts.

Forge world blood thirster YESSSSSS haha even the forge world daemon prince with wings would do as a greater daemon. (sorry really like the models for those 2)

And who dosnt love having a huge freaking blood thirster casting his shadow across the battle field looks sick.

I don't use a GD at 2k but if I did I'd use either a bloodthirster with immortal fury and armor of khorne, or a Keeper with siren song and soul hunger.

I'd say avoid a greater daemon at this level. They eat up 1/4th of your army and can't be fully kitted out. Add more core and the ilk and get a solid 2k army, then just buy one model to go to 2500.

Edit: But if you must take one, the bloodthirster is the killiest with the least investment in points. Give him armor of khorne or obsidian armor if you can fit it on him, and go wreck faces. No wizard levels to add = "cheap" (relatively) daemon.

Prob not the best choice but hey if you can who dosnt love a blood thirster being all rarg on the table.

Overall, I'd rank them like so:

- Lord of Change: got the most versatility, the most potential Boom.

- Blood Thirster/Keeper of Secrets: the first is the easiest to field effectively. The second is a true beast in combat, with its ability to heal its wounds (that 90pt gift. Soul Drinker or something).

- Great Unclean One: unless he's there to slowly advance forward and cast a few odd spells, maybe spawn some Nurglings, I'd say don't bother. He's...not that good.

For 2000pts? I'd go with a 'Thirster. The others need too many points to make them good.
But really? I'd stick with Heralds.
