Lost in the Warp....

So as you have heard of the rumors on the chaos space marines codexs coming out I was wondering what you like to see. I believe I heard (do not quote me on this) that there will be four different codices or more. This being Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch, Slaanesh also Chaos Undivided. Now maybe they might combine these into one codex, it is all up in the air. But regardless, what would you like to see in the next Chaos space marine book?
-Note: I did not see another one of these Chaos Wish-listing threads so just let me know-

Honestly, I choose what armies I will buy and play based on the background, and I think that Chaos Marines are the second worst army in that regard. (Personal opinion.) If is going to be a new Chaos Codex (or Codices) then I want it (or them) to have better background.

What i want is to have possessed Chaos to not suck any more. Also give Chaos the same tech as sm. like were suppose to be be the cooler version of them and we get nothing. We dont have drop pods, our dread naughts are insane and attack you, we dont have chaplains ( thats an easy fix turn them into Dark Apostle), We dont get skimmers, i know i said it b4 but im going to say it again DROP PODS. I also just feel that Chaos just isnt given nearly as much as sm are even tho we are pretty much the same unites.

Wait if they got past Cadia would that mean the death to Cadia and the death of the Cadian Guard which are 1 of the only 2 major guard armys you can play as?

@ Fogboy14

Sorry but could not disagree with you more.

Giving CSM all the same gear as SM would just make them even more "spikey marines" than they are now. What they need is more options and gear that sets them further aprat from their loyalist brethren. If you want to lay with all the tech and options that SM have, then get a SM army.

CSM tech is different to SM tech because they are 10,000 years behind the times, tech speaking.

CSM Dreads are crazed because being put in a box drives them insane. It is not an honour like it is for SM. They dont like it....at all.

I'm not fussed about CSM having skimmers. With the exception of the Raven the skimmers that SM have now aren't really anything all that special.

I second the opinion of checking out JustDave's fan codex. It is great and what the CSM codex should be.

I think they should have an option for a non crazed dread for elite or hq maybe. In Soul hunter t

hey wake a dreadnought up, and while he is really depressed, he doesnt go about killing his own men, and is more of a leader and inspiration than anything.

There is a Drewdnought Warsmith in oen of the ultramrines books (White Sky, Black Sun or whatever its called). But other than that there is no fluff support for a dread HQ, in CSM at least.

Wrong. The forces of Abbaddon control the majority of Cadias surface, but the Imperium controls space and the skies. The Crusade has pushed forces onto planets outside of the system, so the have gotten past Cadia. The Cadian guard you see in the models aren't obviously the only force you can use. As well as there being many other models for guard, the green and kaki of the Cadians is not a restriction. Paint them how you want, name them as you want, there's not a single thing that says you have to Cadians.
Also, Chaos Dreadnoughts are crazed because they spend eternity awake inside their shell, they aren't put in stasis like the loyalists, which preserves their sanity.

I don't like the MUST take a Warband Icon, but the rest I'm fine with.

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

North of your position

Id like to see that the summoned deamons have a difference between the Chaos Gods. If that happens, I consider collecting them

Anyways, it feels strange that Bloodletters are as strong as Pink Horrors... And that they are as strong as Deamonnetes, and that those are as strong as Plaguebearers..

You'd think the CSM and Daemons codex would be interchangable and you'dbe able to take Daemons in a CSM army legally in 40k.

Makes sense to me anyway. And TBH, if someone wanted to do it in a friendly game i dont think i would have a problem with it.

I agree. Chaos is chaos is chaos. Demons, Marines, and Lost and the Damned should all be part of the same Codex.

Thanks for all the input guys. As I will read over that and see what some ideas people have thought up as. I would believe GW would not let the chaos (in the fluff) allow chaos to fully control the system.

That's a must. Also, the next Chaos codex should better cut down the randomness. It seemed a good way to represent the volatile nature of Chaos, but in the end players want solid, reliable units that stick to their purpose, whatever it is. It's impossible to field a unit that one turn is a shooty psyker, next a CC monster, next a bunch of quivering cowards.

How to transcribe chaos to the battlefield? Variety!. Make it so that there are not two equal chaos warbands while keeping it competitive.

As for units... +1 to Cultitsts, traitor guards, mutant rabbles, daemon engines and general chaos-y weirdness.

Wasnt trying to complain earlyer was just trying to say that chaos isnt given enough credit. Ok maybe dreadnaughts should be crazy but there are a couple of books were the dreadnaughts were not completely insane. Its just a shame that such a cool unite is kinda wasted due to a 2/6 chance it will do some thing you didnt want it to do.
