hey everyone I am new to WM and I have only played battle box games so far. I have started to make up some lists for 15pts and have narrowed it down to 2 lists.

List 1

Strakhov

wardog

beast 09

destroyer

List 2

eButcher

wardog

doomies

So there you go I am kinda leaning towards list one because it would be cheaper to build of the battle box but when I play with my battle box againts my friends everblight his carnivean always seems to cause me problems. I really need both jacks to team up on him to take him out but his carni usually gets the charge and kills one jack leaving me hard pressed to do anything to him. That is what I dont like about the 1st list in only has two jacks but strakhovs speed boosts could have me charging him more often than not.

for list two I cant see much wrong with it but It would be boring expanding it any further because of the tier requierments of only doom reavers allowed. What do you guys think?

I was I comparing butcher to his epic incarnation and I think that butcher might be a better caster because of most of my opponents use armies with low model count so eButch's homicidal maniac and feat won't be effective so I came up with a pButh list

your pButcher list is the best one. eButcher suffers at low points because he wants loads of enemy troops to kill.

Thanks studderingdave you are right about eButch my friends everblight only has 7 models at 15pts. Btw for 25pts I was thinking about adding another jugger then a MOW konvik to marshall my destroyer what do you think about that idea.

+1 for the pButcher list. If you're new to khador I recommend pButcher and pSorscha to start with as they are the most straightforward casters to use imho. pSorscha is fantastic at 15 points for her ridiculous wind rush boundless charge feat fuelled assasination run from one side of the board to the other!

it will be the cheapest to upgrade to. since your getting only a War Dog, pButcher and a Widowmakers unit. yourlooking and 50-60$ compared to getting models for your other lists.

Character jacks are 40+ casters are 15~ 20 for Epic Casters. War Dog is fairly cheap. Fenris is like buying a Character jack. he is 40-50$ plus Doomies, UA, Dog and Caster. List 2 is the most expensive list you have up there.

i started with the Battlebox as well. you seem to favor 'Jacks in the 15pt range. not uncommon but if you like running Jacks as your favored maybe look into a Harkevich list or a pVlad list. Harky is a new Caster from Wrath and pVlad has some punch power if you run all jacks. however your favoring melee, i would maybe look into pVlad lists IF you like to run Jacks. myself i like Ranged Jacks and Heavy hitting Melee Units lol. its just something to think about.

Ok so pButcher is better than his epic equivilant at lower point levels but what about the strakhov list. I like his spells and abilities and his list wouldn't cost much more than my butcher one. Also could some one give ma an idea of what a 15pt harky list would look like.

I'd go with a kodiak over the destroyer. Saves a point and has more utility with the chain attack. He can run for free so you have two good jacks who can benefit from Strakhov's feat as well as occultation and superiority.

I already have a destroyer from the battle box so I will use that to start but if I don't like it I can try out a kodiak. The destroyer would be nasty with sentry though. Also if I were to expand the strakhov list to 25pts what would you do my two ideas were a max demo core and rienholt or 10 assult kommandos with two flame throwers.

To be honest, Sentry is one of those nice spells that you really won't use that much. Between two upkeeps, allocating focus, and casting Overrun, you won't have the focus to really be able to use it.

AKs are one of our most unused units there is. i have never seen them in a list.

a 15pt Harky... he has 5WJP so you can have an effective 20 point list before WJP.

Harky (5WJP)
-Black Ivan 10pt
-Destroyer 9pt
?? 1pt

supplement with something like the Dog, Reinholdt, or some other 1pt Solo.

Black ivan is Harky's Character 'Jack. he is pretty much a Destroyer with a giant claw VS a Executioner's Axe. as well as the bonuses for being in Harky's Battlegroup. i believe its free boosts to ranged Attacks. Destroyer could be swapped out for another Ranged 'Jack. Harkevich is a Ranged 'Jack caster. he has an Upkeepable spell that adds +2" you your Jacks movement. he also has a upkeepable spell that allows you to reroll missed ranged attacks. and lastly the spell you abuse is Broadside. all your 'Jacks with ranged weapons can make a ranged attack ignoring RoF. his Feat allows your Jacks to run or Charge for Free, and if they charge they can make a ranged attack before their charge. and it does one other thing. i think it boosts something. there are 3 things his feat does. Honestly he would be better in a 25+ army. when you can get 3 ranged jacks and some beat sticks. my Harky list will call for Behemoth. with Broadside on deat turn thats 8 cannon shots ^^

Harky may be my first 50point list lol. otherwise i play just 35pt lists.

Ok I think I am going to go for the strakhov list. I will look into trying out that harky list though being able to fire all those bombards multiple times a turn sounds amazing.
