HI guys just signed up onto his as i am new to Warhammer 40K,
My Name is Dalveen and i live in Somerset ( soon Weston-Super-Mare so anyone in that area (i use the Bristol Games Workshop) who can help me get better at painting and the conversions i enjoy so much, although i am embarrisingly bad at it, would be very welcome to pop round and have a brew and compare/exchange ideas and or techniques.
I just started a Space wolves army and so far have a 500 pt Army, 2 Grey hunter squads ( consisting of 1 Wolf guard leader, 1 plasmagun, rest with bolters) a Wolf Gurad Battle leader as my HQ unit which i have done a conversion to give him a fur cloak, he has a plasma pistol and a power sword. and then i have some options i have a heavy unit of longfangs ((cant host all of them in the 500 pts) 1 plasma cannon, 1 lascannon, 2 rocket luanchers, 2 heavy bolters)) or i can run a converted dreadnought (i will post pictures soon but my painting is still very bad so im trying to get a bit better first) the dreadnought has its close combat arm (which i made talons for it) and stormbolter - but can then choose to come in with his twin linked Lascannon, multimelter or assult cannon. giving me a bit of scope and flexability. I then have spare 1 squad of Wolf quards 3 in power armour with close combat weps, and 5 in terminater armour - awaiting conversion as they are normal space marines.
I hope to buy a land raider of some description and a squad to use as blood claws. to complete my flexability.
You lot seam like a great source of knowledge and i have seen some insane skills so i cant wait to get to know the comunity and hopefully become better for doing so.
