I just finished reading the word bearers series of dark disciple and the book that came before it and i absolutely loved it so now i'm looking for more novels based on chaos preferably post heresy as i have all the HH novels, so if you could tell me the names of any novel that was even remotely interesting i'd appreciate it espically if its about the 1k sons
Thanks in advance.

Don't you see? My Master Tzeentch cares not which of the Great Powers of Chaos you serve. In the end, aren't the followers of the Blood God changing valiant warriors into headless corpses? Aren't the worshippers of the Lord of Flies changing strong, healthy bodies into rotting, diseased carcasses? Aren't the disciples of the Dark Prince changing stern, steadfast heroes into slaves to their own senses? Accept that Tzeentch has a place for all of us in his grand scheme, and be happy in the part you have to play.

I've heard Storm of Iron is a great chaos book and the Night Lords series I've also heard is good.

EDIT: Night Lords books are Soul Hunter and Lords of the Night.

Was a thread the other day about Battle of the Fang which most people said was good. Supposed to take place shortly after the heresy ends.

I plan to pick a copy up this week. That and Fulgrim (you read it? It awful?)

I can't really speak in full for Fulgrim...but I read the first four HH book, got 100 pages through Fullgrim, and havn't touched it in about 2 years.

I don't think there are many more books based off the perspective of chaos itself but 2 books I know of with alot of Chaos interaction are Dark Adeptus and Dead Sky, Black Sun. Oh And there is a book called the Blood Gorgons though I haven't read it.

Storm of Iron is an excellent book. It has a great writing style and developed characters.

Soul Hunter has a nice writing style and some interesting characters, I'll give you that. However, only read it if you dislike Chaos. The Black Legion and the Chaos Gods act as if they have an IQ of 3 and have no motivation beyond EVIIIILLLLL. In addition, the main character is, for lack of a better term, overpowered. He's smarter than the other characters, stronger than other characters and the most moral and the most successful.

I second Storm of Iron and Dead Sky, Black Sun. The second one is, indeed, a continuation for the first one.

Fulgrim was good IMO, its a tad slow, but very well written and shows the legion's fall to slaanesh in a very good way. It actually changed my opinion on the legion and particularly, their Primarch.

I second the recommendations for Storm of Iron and Dead Sky Black Sun, and also The Chapter's Due which carries on the story arc set up in the other two. Would also definitely recommend the Night Lords books Lord of the Night, Soul Hunter and Blood Reaver. I enjoyed all 3 of them and they're good reads. I know the OP mentioned the Word Bearers novels but I would also recommend the upcoming omnibus for those who havn't read them. I will admit to struggling through the first one Dark Apostle but loved the other two, Dark Disciple and Dark Creed.

I recommend Soul Hunter and Blood Reaver both by Aaron Dembski-Bowden. The two best novels I've read about Chaos marines. If you don't mind typos, bad writing, and hypocrisy from the main characters, check out the Soul Drinker's books by Ben Counter. ("I know we're mutated by the Warp, enact bizarre human sacrifice rituals, and betrayed the Imperium, but we still aren't Chaos!")

Blood Gorgons is an awesome book that completely blew me away and is one of the most enjoyable reads in recent BL history IMO. If you liked the Word Bearer trilogy then you will, in all likely-hood, enjoy this book as well.

Also, another excellent read is Daemonworld by Ben Counter which is the only BL book that is set entirely inside the Eye Of Terror. It is about a Word Bearer kill team that is despatched to a particular planet to hunt down and destroy one of their comrades that has gone a little bit 'special' and gone off on a jolly old jaunt by himself. It also contains one of the hardest daemon princes committed to print plus a cast of very, very cool supporting characters.

In light of everyone seeming to bang on about Soulhunter these day's (which is, admittedly, very good), Daemonworld is an absolute gem of a book that is a 'blast from the past' that was concieved and written back in the days when hallowed titles such as Eisenhorn were wowing people. Trust me, if Chaos Space Marines, Daemon Princes and lots and lots of killings with a healthy side of kick ass is your poison then you won't go far wrong with this book.

The above two books along with Storm Of Iron would make a very sexual Omnibus, just a thought.
