Also, just about any of the chocolate themed Ben & Jerry Flavors. Note that I'm talking exclusively american ice cream. If we throw gelatto into the mix its a tossup between limoncello and nutella.

You have no idea, think about it sweet, salty, cold, soft, crunchy. It's heavenly. You have to go to a high end experimental restaurant to get it, or make it yourself. Interestingly enough in San Diego there are micro dairies that will make ice cream for you kind of like how microbreweries will brew beer for you.

I'm pretty adventerous when it comes to foods...I'd probably give it a go, but I have to admit to never hearing of that particular flavor before...is it widely available or more of a regional thing?

In russia, they have borscht flavored icecream. It's kinda gross, but there's also sugarplum, yam, and wild berry,

I love wildberry, 2 scoops, and a scoop of strawberry.

Denny's had a maple syrup and bacon sundae for a while. From what I hear it was not bad.

I don't know, it certainly isn't common.....yet. I've had it at a couple of very experimental restaurants, but it's not a regular item, it just shows up once in a while. I may have to try my hand at this, I haven't made ice cream in awhile, but here is the recipe.

I'm not sure if I could go for that, but the Mayan chocolate has cayenne pepper and cinnamon.

I noticed that it's apparently an "Atlanta" creation...or at least appeared there, and since I live 5 minutes from Atlanta maybe I'll be able to find a place that carry's/ serves it.

Cinnamon sounds good.

Durian

God no, I don't like Ketchup period. Why use ketchup when you can use Sweet Baby Ray's Chipotle barbecue sauce? Not that I would think that would make a good ice cream flavor. People who put ketchup on eggs make me vomit.

There has to be something said about a well done plain old every day Vanilla. I've had Vanilla that I think is better than most any other flavor.

Now durian is nasty, it smells like fermented onions and socks.

NO.....JUST NO! I can't stand durian. I like stinky cheese, but I can't take durian.

As far as wasabi goes, I've never had the real thing. Real wasabi is SOOOOO expensive. That green stuff you get at the restaurant with sushi is just horseradish mustard and green food die. I love wasabi peas tough.
