It's the most versatile of all flavors.

Homemade "Real" Vanilla is great, most store brands are a bit meh unless you dress them up.

My mum makes a rather good lemon meringue ice cream (had some yesterday when I went round for dinner - nom nom nom). One of my teachers used to make ice cream and he once brought in some bread ice cream (wholegrain as well ), which was kind of strange but nice.

My favorite is probably cookie dough ice cream though.

But I do love the white chocolate Magnums. Also the orange Solero - my favorite summer sunshine taste.

Can't say I care for cookie dough ice cream, the Missus and the Kids like it though.

Was it like a bread pudding ice cream, because I could see that being really good.

I'm not sure, having never had bread pudding, however, it was like normal ice cream with a breaddy flavour and the occasional seed

Kind of like cookie dough ice cream has small chunks of chocolate and cookie dough in it, but with bread (and possibly honey? It was a long time ago - will have to ask my mum to ask him (as they both teach at the same school )).

NEVER HAD BREAD PUDDING? YOU LIVE IN ENGLAND! Go fix that! Get it warm with some ice cream on top. I think I just unintentionally lifted my laptop!

Brown bread icecream is a pretty old recipe, here is the second recipe I found on google http://uktv.co.uk/food/recipe/aid/516011.

My favourite probably is maple bacon as I make it all the time

Yeah, that's basically frozen bread pudding. The recipe is confusing though. It has two different amounts for sugar 60g and 100g.

I'm telling you people, MAPLE BACON is the bomb!

The recipe probably sucks, here is the one I use.

175g brown bread (6 ounces ish in breadcrumb form)
300ml double cream (1 and 1/3 cups)
300ml single cream (1 and 1/3 cups)
125g icing sugar (4 and a half ounces)
2 eggs
dash of rum

Beat the cream and the sugar together (you want it slightly thicker than normal but nowhere near whipped) before adding in the yolks of the eggs and the rum and combining.
Toast the breadcrumbs in the oven as per the other recipe and allow them to cool before adding them into the cream mixture, finally whip the egg whites until nice and stiff before folding them into the other mixture very carefully.

Pour this into a sealable container and freeze it, you don't even need to churn

You can substitute the 300ml double cream and 300ml single cream with 550ml double cream and 50ml milk if you only want to purchase one kind of cream, also feel free to not use the rum or to switch it for brandy or whiskey.

Cherry Garcia, but you can't seem to buy it in UK supermarkets for love nor money (they only sell the frogurt version, which isn't as nice IMO)

It's not the taste that gets you, but, the smell before you taste it

My brother and I used to eat loads of that when we lived in Malaysia

Apparently there were some places that would not let you in if you were carrying durian

It is such a crime to bring a durian in with you that a suitable fine has not yet been thought of.

Chocolate fudge is an old favourite. Still, I've heard good things about brown bread ice cream.

Why they make anything else is beyond me.

However, Ben & Jerry's used to have a wonderful product called "Fossil Fuel." Basic fudge swirl ice cream, but it had dinosaur-shaped chocolate bits. Awesome idea. Not available anymore, at least in my area.

You have no idea, think about it sweet, salty, cold, soft, crunchy. It's heavenly. You have to go to a high end experimental restaurant to get it, or make it yourself. Interestingly enough in San Diego there are micro dairies that will make ice cream for you kind of like how microbreweries will brew beer for you.

Or you can go to Denny's.

God no, I don't like Ketchup period. Why use ketchup when you can use Sweet Baby Ray's Chipotle barbecue sauce? Not that I would think that would make a good ice cream flavor. People who put ketchup on eggs make me vomit.

Ketchup is overrated, honey-mustard is the way to go.
