Why do people put apostrophes in plurals? It's "Necrons", Not "Necron is".

The blacklight paints are kinda cool, but the painting quality leaves a bit to be desired.

Kinda cool, but I'm not into the steampunk kinda thing. Also, as an English major (teacher), I'll offer a VERY quick lesson:
Putting an apostrophe at the end of the word means ownership or the combining of two words. Okay, teacher mode off. It's summer time. Time to only be a gamer now!
