Hey dakka dakka!
I have recently started my finecast Lictor and i wanted to add something very bloody and fleshy so I decided I would have him holding a space marine head with the spine still attached but covered in gore, a bit like what predator does if you have seen the movies (still alive even in the 41st mellenium). I have started by using a grey knights head (cause i didn't have any space marines) and i have added a thin bit of green stuff to make the base of the spine, i will sculpt that when it is dry but i wanted to make it look really bloody and gorey (if that is a word) but i have no idea what to do about it. Any ideas anyone? (a hot glue gun is sort of out of the question cause i am only 15...)

mix some red gore paint in with PVA and a little snow flock. it should give it a really gristly texture, like there is muscle and bone fragments hanging off the spine

i've tried sand, unless you get it so fine it is powder, it just looks bad. although a mix of say 3 parts snow flock and 1 part sand added to the PVA and paint could help to form a nice varied consistency, like a proper mixture of bodily chunks.

also, try and sculpt some lungs and a heart hanging off the spine, with blood pooling on the floor and dripping from the spine

A quick-and-dirty spine is to use either the neck or tail from a plastic skeleton horse (look to the Tomb Kings stuff to get one of those).

As for the blood and gore, +1 to the red gore, pva glue and flock idea...

PVA glue is money for gore (as well as drool/saliva if you're doing tyranids).

Out of curiosity, what does being 15 have to do with hot glue guns?

This is one of the best gore tutorials I've seen. The results are super gnarly. http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/324106.page

As a final step, you can always go over the "wet" parts with brush-on gloss varnish. It really makes stuff look nasty! Gets that visceral EEEWW reaction...

Tamiya clear red gives a good blood look as its quite thick, i apply a coat of that, then for darker spots mix in some badab black wash with it and go over again... if you want a congealed(?) look, leave for a min, it goes tacky then stipple the bit you applied to make it look less fresh.... as for stringy blood bits, UHU glue (http://images.staples-eu.com/App_Themes/ck-CK_iVAT/images/product/uk_308551_1_xnl.jpg) mixed with Tamiya red does the job.

Some examples floating round my gallery of when I've used the above.

Hope that helps

clear silicone sealant from hardware shop like lowes in the USA or wickes/B&Q in the UK and some red oil paint mix well then spread, dangle onto your model... should look good plus sill be squishy even when dry.

I have done it! In the end i just dry brushed some really fleshy looking paint onto it and used the rice crispie gore on the base (it has become a sensation at my local games-workshop)

tamiya clear red mixed with PVA is perfect for gore... you can pull strings and make drops and splashes... drop of black to make it look even more realistic
