Like a few of the recent joiners, I'm also coming back to the hobby after a long time away.
I used to be a player rather than a painter, though not good at either, but now I'm pretty much only interested in the modelling/painting side of the whole thing (still not really good at it, but I've gained some patience in my old age, which I figure might help). I'm starting with Space Marines in 40K, which seems like a bit of a cliché, but that's fine with me. I used to run Ultramarines in 40K, and Dark Elves in Fantasy.

I had a reasonably sized Ultramarines army, though it's been lost/misplaced/tidied away at some point over the last decade and a half (or something like that). Needless to say, there have been a lot of changes since I started the first time!
My new army is going to be a locally themed Codex Astartes army. Once I have the Assault on Black Reach marines painted up as practise I hope to start building in earnest, work commitments permitting.
