This is the first table top game I've been excited about in quite some time, and it went to print today!

It definitely looks interesting, but I think Dystopian Wars better scratches that Steampunk itch. For me, at least.

The Emperor is intrigued by this.

A guy I work with played this at Origins. He said that this is one of the best game systems he's EVER played. He is a games designer, too, so he has a scrutinizing eye for this sort of thing. I will certainly be looking at this game upon release.



Ghidorah

I'll buy it just for the miniatures. This looks hotter than Ghidorah's signature!

Same here. Im thinking I may use the minis with the Full Thrust rules. Who knows, maybe give the Leviathans system a run or two, just to try it out.

I fully agree that Spartan got there first, but Dystopian Wars as a game and Spartan as a company leave a LOT to be desired in rules and balance for the competitive gamer. I gave Spartan an honest try, but abandoned them after about a month due to frustration with their design philosophy and intrafaction balance.

Leviathan is a game I've had my eye on for the past 9 months, and if they have more of their act together I'd love to jump back into this to scratch the 'steampunk' itch.

As for me, I'll be keeping an eye on this game; while DW is keeping me busy at the moment, I do find the model shown for the game interesting, and a naval game that takes place in the sky sounds intriguing! I have to admit, though, I'm much more interested in this game after the D6G interview with Randall Bills

Grrrrr....

I need to stop spending money on Flames of War, and my IG just so I can give this a try.
