Dumb Luck - Because of Eisenhorn has survived countless encounters that should have resulted in his death, all saves are to be taken on a D100. The result may be re-rolled.
Cherubael - Any army including Eisenhorn may include the deamonhost Cherubael for no additional cost. Cherubael acts as a normal daemonhost with the exception that all hits on vehicles are resolved at S 10 and add 5 to the damage result. If Cherubael assaults a titan, it is instantly destroyed, as the power of Dan Abnett's writing infuses the host.

On a serious note...
Leadership (you would be able to add a lot more conditional modifiers)
you could also do something with deep strike where instead of scattering there was just a mishap percentage. Perhaps it would be modified by proximity of enemies or terrain, race, unit, etc.

i like the idea of percentage use
ps you guys know a d100 is only ten sided right. it just uses 0-90 in denominations of ten. The number is the key here
as for leadership we use a d20 which works awesome

Wait, are you talking about a D10, with ten sides normally numbered 0-9 (1-10, same thing), or a D100, which has 100 sides numbered 1-100?

Hey now, I eagerly await the next space marine chapter to be officially playable! I submitted mine in hopes of it being the next one out!!
I have seen(and used) a D100 in my various experiences across nerdom, mainly in D&D on the rare occasions that I do play it. We use it because it annoys the guy running it. When it asks for 5D20 or something like that, we roll the D100 and let him figure it out.

Problem with rolling a d100 vs 5d20 is that probabilities aren't the same.
i have a die.it has 00 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90
if its not a d100 i dont know what it is
It is a d10. It has 10 sides, and 10 options for results.

What the guy means is that you take a Percent Die. This is two d10s, one somehow different from the other. One's the tens digit, the other is the hundreds digit.

Yeah, I know how you roll a d100 without a d100... but just having something numbered 0, 10, 20, etc. doesn't make it a 100 sided die.

We play D&D mainly to mess with the guy who wants to be DM, so we do that kinda stuff to make his gameplay more 'interesting'. -cgmckenzie EDIT- fixed quotes. D100s are great for random generators of equipment-weapons -terrain.
As 40k uses dice in a deterministic way,a D100 would be used like this.
Rolling to hit.
Roll over fixed value 'X' to hit.
Still only giving 2 fixed results ,hit or miss.
Eg SMs hit on a 51+.(No difference to hitting on a 4+ on a D6)
Where as using more apropriate game mechanics would cover more aspects , using smaller sided dice.
Compare targets stealth value (how good the unit is at concealing itself on the battle feild,)
To the attackers scouting value.(How good the unit is at spotting enemy units.)
Eg Target 7 - attacker 2=5
Target hit on a 5+
And simple modifiers .
+1 to target stealth value if...
Target in cover.
Target over 36" away from atttacker.
Target using stealth equipment.
+1 to scouting value if...
Attacker stationary last action.
Attacker within 18" of target.
Attacker using targeting equipment.
This alternative mechanic covers the state and disposition of both the attacker and target, in much more detail, but still only used the humble D6.
And if this roll was used for UNITs not individual models , you would only roll one dice to hit per UNIT, thus speeding up the game.
