Well. Time to upload my latest batch of minis. They're all intended to be tabletop standard, so I don't have to handle-with-care. I hope they stand up to that quality. It's a mix of CSM and IG, so without further ado.

First IG. I've added some veterans and stuff, to buff out my army so I can stand up to all the space marine guys. Which is all I have to play against.
Obs: Only one of the meltas are actually fitted. All the armless (harmless) dudes are going to be melta-gunners once I manage to scavenge some. (I need 20(!!) of them.)
Obs'erer: When I painted these guys, I was a bit low on funds, so I didn't have the paints I wanted, therefore they're a bit.. un-detailed.

Veteran squad w/3 meltas. In the pic. the sarge has a powerfist, I'll switch this out most likely. I'll see after I get to test them in a game.

Veteran Squad Chimera. (With the required peace sign painted on. I bet the "artist" is going to get executed the second a Commissar notices. )

Command Squad Veterans. Also harmless because of lack of meltas. (Dang GW for not packing more of them in their kits.)

Armored Plasma Sentinel.

And here comes the sickos. The CSM legion is called the Lords of Entropy. Each individual model is painted in an individual pattern within the same color set, representing that each marine paints his own armor the way he wants it. Some are quarter-paneled, some half, some all red, some all black, some with a crazy mix. I'm trying to get each one as different as I can, but there are only so many different schemes possible.

Terminators with Lord. I'll rip the ranged weapons off these ASAP, and stick lightning claws on instead, then cram them all into a Land Raider.

Entropic Sons. These guys all have more or less the same scheme, as its their sorcerer who is painting all of them, and he's a weirdly stubborn guy who likes stuff his own way.

Berzerkers of Entropy with Rhino.

Freshly tainted Tactical Marines.

Very nice models and I love your muted worn out red, but shouldn't this go in the Showcase forum?

Thanks for the compliment.

Yeah. And getting the metal meltas from GW would cost me almost 40 bucks. Plus. They're metal...

Oppl, I thought that was just for the pretty models. These are only tabletop quality.

I really like the camo pattern you have on your Guardsman! Very nicely done.

The reds look great on the chaos models as well.
I feel your pain on the Meltas... I need at Least 8 Meltas for my Guard army, and im quite broke at the moment!

Nice job!

Oh well. The Chaos Marines certainly match/beat some of the stuff I've seen posted in the Showcase forum though!

Hehe. Thanks a bunch for that compliment. Suppose it's all down to how high one rates ones own work. Hopefully a mod will move the thread if its misplaced.

I like those Guardsmen, but the Chimera I Honestly don't think worked as well.
The contrast seems more forced than on the sentinel or troops.

No idea how i'd change that.

If you get the chance some battle damage or Highlights on the green could help. Just my Opinion tho.

Now your Plans for the Chaos and such I Like. Very cool Idea.

CaragaraPDF: Thanks for being so honest. I kind of agree, and I think it's because it's just too much camo pattern. The idea was to have green on the hardened armor plates and guns, because they came from a different manufactoria than the chassis which came from a 'factoria that incidentally painted camo patterns.

I don't mind so much that it's not cool, though, because military stuff is rarely made to be. It's made to be functional or practical or convenient, and that's what I've tried to achieve with all my IG units. They all come from the same planet so they are all the same basic colors, but the equipment all comes from different 'factoria around the planet, where the magos' run their shops in slightly different ways, producing slightly different results. So if one or two patterns look odd, that's part of it.

I'm a slow painter, so I get a lot of time to think about fluff for my models.

Thanks again for being so honest, though, and thanks for the compliments on the other stuff. I have another chimera and another squad of veterans, so I'll try out a different, less aggressive, camo pattern for those.
