Okay depending on many variables, i am am in the begining stages of building a chaos contemptor dreadnought, for use in my army. after this dont expect much for awhile. but well yeah

After seeing the forgeworld contemptor dreadnought and looking at the experimental rules saying it can be used in a Chaos Marines Army, i thought finally a useful elites chose aside from termis, and chosen. then i began thinking of how to build one, first thing that hit me, i had a few Gundam models i had in my room, a orange one and a model of Gundam Virtue from the series Mobile suit Gundam 00, which probly wouldnt work. i found the orange gundam and took off the torso, then compared it to my ironclad im selling then comaring it to the pic of the comparsion betwwen the contemptor and regular dread on the forgeworld site, i had to remove the legs from the pelvis and the upper thigh, to make them somewhat the same size,
these are the legs
A regular shot

A side shot next to the iron clad

sorry about the quality of the pics, shot with my labtop's webcamera. so far i think the most difficult part will be the arms. R&R, advice is welcomed

Should have backed the piece up and put it to your forehead. For whatever reason, that's where all the light is. As it stands now, I have no idea what that is that you're holding up.
*edit*
That's an Ironclad you're holding in the 2nd pic? For real? I don't remember it being so small. Either that, or you have monstrously large hands. Or, what if you had normal sized hands, but just your 4 fingers were huge? That would be freaky...

1.) That's what she said
2.) I'd like to see what you've got going on here, but the pics could use some work. I think you need to get a plain background, like some white paper, and put the models on that, and point a light at them, and try the pictures again.

im not a girl dude, aside from that these were the best i can do with a built in web-cam

as of right now i figured out how im doing the body, partly still the plans are a wip
the process for the legs
1. cut apart the legs from a venerable dreadnought, for the pelvis and hips,
2. cut off the hips, to put onto the gundam's legs.
3. try to work on lineing the new legs up, were the hips are not splaying outward.
4. after 3. reattach the legs to pelvis.
5. add any chaos iconograpghy/bits to the legs
6. glue legs onto base
(theres still the option of magnitizing stuff on the legs, if others want to do it, otherwise this process for the legs is done)

the torso process.
1. build a defiler torso, with the expection of the arms, head and battle cannon.
2. put hatch covers onto the head hole, and back.
3. use a csm head and one of the coffins from the venerable kit, and place that were the battle cannon goes.
4. trim off the small platform on the back of the torso
5. attach the engine from the venerable onto the back of the torso.
6. add more chaos iconography and bitz onto the torso
(i havent figured out what ill need for the arms, or thier sockets, so the toros's process isnt finished yet)

i havent figured out how to do the arms yet but so far once i start, this proccess should work

btw, it's supposed to be innuendo, born of the internet. Such as:

Dude stop poking me with that!
That's what she said!

That does sound like it could work, but as they say the proof is in the pudding.

For the next pics, put the models on a white sheet of paper with nothing else in the shot, helps us see them better.

No honestly, it is, she couldn't for the life of her tell what was in the op's original post. As for gun(dumbs) as dreadnoughts; play tau. plenty of people have crisis suit mechas.

EDIT: Damn ninjas!
