As the topic states. Do they fight each other? I believe (to my knowledge) that the race is on the defensive with lots of raiding parties on their homeland and a lack of population growth that they can't spare the man power fighting each other. But that is from what I have read and I was wondering if there was precedent in recent High Elf history if they have had internal turmoil?

Do the Dark Elf invasions count as internal turmoil? I mean they are the same race after all...

DukeRustfield - There's nothing wrong with beer and pretzels. I'm pretty sure they are the most important members of the food group.

I would say no because Dark Elf culture has changed and they have removed themselves and are a disowned people to the High Elves.

I would say yeah, I mean, two minor nobles could decide to fight one another, and it's highly plausible that one of them is a dark elf agent or something.

It's possible they have war games, they are all highly trained right.

I'd say yeah if some Lords got in a dispute over something or one went traitor.

yes, for either of the reasons given above:
Internal turmoil (ie 2 Nobles fighting it out over some sort of disagreement)
Training and War Games.

Both seem perfectly plausible.

I'd say definitely yes. If a noble wants become a leader they may have to go against another High Elf army who's general is a rival noble.

the two reasons presented make sense to me, but I wonder is there precedent of it in the fluff anywhere?
