Hello to you!

Over the next few months I'm going to be building and painting an Ork army. Why? Bored to death of shoulder pads. Bored to %*!£ with them.

You can see what I've started with here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/381832.page

For now I want to show you the very first Ork model to be fully assembled by myself. The looted wagon!

A pen suited the main gun perfectly, which is housed directly in the hull

Some Orkish detail on the side armor

And the other, representing added armor Orkishly bolted on

I'm going to get on painting this guy tomorrow. (Don't mind the dates on my camera, I've never bothered to alter it!) And hopefully have it done by the time the rest of the army arrives midweek next week. Tell me what you think!

Finished the wagon (mostly) yesterday afternoon. If I look at it again I'll probably drybrush the hull some more and maybe go to town on the gas canister on the side but to tell the truth I like the half finished look on Orks!

This was my first go with weathering powders. I like them but I think I need practice, in the end I made a paste from them to add to the sides, if I get some more tones I'll be able to do a more realistic looking mud. This is model one of my new army with reinforcements due by next week, I'll update this blog as of and when I decide on a theme and scheme for the army, I'm thinking of skin colours other than green.

Some pics.

And now (as the first did me so, so well) a new boomwagon! Da Gamma Gun!

This one will be painted to an Incredible Hulk theme, to go with the theme of my Ork army. Much fun to build
