Until I run out my starter set of Citadel paints, I'll be using them.
But, my can or black primer ran out, so that's gone generic already.

Probably work

I use Apple Barrel for black/white/vehicle colors, and Citadel for anything else. Their English Ivy is almost identical to Catachan Green and it's the primary color of my tanks. For things I use as much as black or white, it's nice to be able to just buy a $3 bottle that's three times the size of a paint pot that lasts longer also.

I use citadel the *most* but I have specific vallejo colours.

Colour wise I use black, deneb stone and mecharite red as well as bolt gun metal the most.

I also use Apple Barrel for most of my paints, but I use DecoArt's metallics as I had trouble with the Apple barrel ones, and a few paints from DecoArt's Americana range because they had better colors for what I wanted than Apple Barrel. Both of these paints work fine but are much cheaper than the dedicated miniature paints.

Except that 4 people said they use Citadel and 3 people have said they mainly use other paints, but only 1 has voted other so the poll seems kind of skewed.

I've always used Citdael paints, but I have my first pot of Vallejo Game Colour in my bag right now, ready to be taken home and tried out. Who knows, maybe I'll be converted.

Worth noting: I don't use Citadel spray paint. I tend to use Army Painter or Montana Gold.

Oh, well, yeah, as far as spray goes, it's non-GW all the way. I use Krylon, or even Colorplace (the cheapy wal-mart stuff) in a pinch. It just requires a few more coats.

I used to employ Humbrol enamel in my early days. Until I realized its a to clean. So I switched to citadel, and that's all I have apart from my spray cans which are generic.

Benjamin Moore, I tried their spray paint, but the sheen is to high, I doubt the paints will work either.

I do 40K, but when I started PP paints in the store were cheaper. I've picked up a few Citadel paints on sale since but was never impressed. Not sure if they were old, Citidel is a lower quality brand, or if it was simply a matter of "not what I was used to".

I voted Vallejo, even though it's technically true I use mostly Citadel - but I loath Citadel pots, cost, and results so I'm trying to get rid of them. The way I see it, Vallejo gives you larger pots at a lower cost with higher quality.

Citadel washes on the other hand are great. It's just a shame they don't make Brown Ink, though, especially since it's a god send for Wraithlords.

So far my most used colour is Mordian Blue (guess what general colour my Eldar are...)

I really need to stay away from the 40K forums.

I voted Vallejo because they are absolutely amazing. I was converted earlier this week and I've already shelved my GW paints. Vallejo paints don't change colour when they dry, go on like a dream, come with more paint, and come in eye dropper bottles for better control when mixing or doing whatever else you need to do with them. And they're CHEAPER.
