Well, you are going to have to win the shooting war. I'm honestly a bit concerned about your anti-infantry capabilities, with fewer than usual venoms, but you seem to have a ton of lance weapons.

What difficulties are you having?

Most will tell you to try and table the opponent.

Pretty much, with a couple of rare exceptions all Dark Eldar lists should be going for the throat and trying to table people anyway. That said 20 vs 16 KPs is not a big gap, you just have to kill more than you lose which is easily possible if you just play normally. Having a large number of KPs tends to mean you have a more flexible army (better mobility because you are in transports, multiple units so you have redundancy, can screen and pull off a number of tactics more easily etc) and even if you go up against an extremely low KP list (Nob Bikers or something else with less than 10) the strength your army has should be able to counter his concentrated units.

Let them go first, hope for a dispersed deployment, castle in a corner and turn their flank. Take those cheating things that reduce their shooting range by 6 inches and use cover to your advantage, both in shooting and receiving fire.

As pointed out by others, tabling is the only clear way to do it.

Thanks everyone I taken all your advice.

Added more anti infantry and had a few good ideas on how to table the opponent.

KP missions balance out MSU DE armies. Those battles are hard to win since small DE troops are fragile and skimmers are paper-thin.

KPs can be an issue, but besides the tabling also focus fire on primary threats. If you have a huge KP imbalance to your opponent than he is going to have a harder time killing multiple units. The system is somewhat inherently balanced. Just don't let him uptempo you too much - if you're losing lots of KP missions, you're probably suffering from bad target priority.

Just had a game

me 22 KP and against GK 9 KP

1750 points, I killed everything except 2 terminators but thats because I was halfway on the other side of the board and I had to race across to get him.

Anyway that was objectives.

Like thor said, when I play DE, my target priority has always been to take out long range shooting first or stop it and then go for mobile units.

Comparing tournament records is another form of e-peen measuring.

I have a hard time in KP missions, as well. In most games, I'll end up by turn 4 having a unit of 5 harlequins with 3 haemonculi attached, that's an 8 model, 4 KP unit! This is usually balanced by the fact that the rest of my army is Talos' or full-model wych/beast units, but when the game gets close to the end those haemonculi sure are a liability.

I'd like to think that skimmer KPs are pretty difficult to get, in general, due to how favorable the vehicle rules are in fifth edition, but the average DE army does put more total KPS on the board than other armies.

With enough fire power, everything will die.

And if you have a balanced anti tank and infantry army you should do fine.

Depends what your opponent is playing basically. You need to know when to say "screw it, I'm playing the reserve game".

Also don't forget that nearly all Dark Eldar units have Night Vision which allows you to reroll the dice to spot the enemy in the first turn of Dawn of War. You get a huge boost in this deployment action.

Tier 1 is the new Tactical.

Straight kill points is very, very hard to win if you are mech and your opponent isn't (10 KP or less).

There's a reason few major tournament missions are straight KP.
