Hi all - the aim of this blog is to show of my models enough to hopefully get a first commision and to bore you with a variad dispaly of my stuff
First up some catachan that may or may not be turned into an army:




Then an epic army that I recently started - to those sceptics to 6mm they are really easy and nice to paint...

Just been asked to paint my dads Epic orks as he hasnt the time to paint them. Mabye with a bit of wraggiling i may be able to 'inherit' them. First pictures will follow shortly.

As for your question Vanq, I cheat...
1 Layer of Tallern Flesh, 1 Wash of Ogryn Flesh.
Highlight the Skin with Tallern then wash it again with Ogryn Flesh - extremely simple but ridicously effective.

Brilliant work, Optio! Awesome-looking Guard. Those Epic and historical figures are so small!

I've been playing with Bleached bone and Delvan mud for my DE, but I might give Ogryn a try as well, thanks!

As an Idea Vanq, instead of the second wash of Orgryn, what if you washed it with the purple wash to give it that evil alien look?

Ow and I managed to paint them Dreadnoughts, Pic's will be up when I get home.

By the way them dreadnought bases are smaller then the ones that come with normal WHFB models.... just to show of their teeny nature....

Due to the Burnas being a right *bitch* to paint progress hasnt really gotten too far but im planning on a big push to get them done tommorrow, then treating myself by perving over the Grey Knights my parents should be getting me tonight

I just about got half of the shopping list I gave my parents, although they managed to by the wrong sized brush :/ - Never trust parents or GW staff to do your shopping.

However them Grey Knight Terminaters are something....
The Finecast models are so much nicer then there metal relatives....I seem to have gotten a flawless one

Update on the commision with all the Burnas painted, now they just need basing





Then its onto the lootas, of which there is only 5 thankfully...

Huzzah!! Got the Lootas painted up this afternoon!





All thats left is the basing which ive started.

I don't know, the skin looks kind of one dimensional and dark. The rest looks great, but maybe a few highlights on the skin to bring out the detail.

Ive now gone completly insane and brought the Island of Blood set in the hope of painting it up over the holidays and selling it off to make some money. However the staff at my local store mentioned a painting competition where you can enter a MC that will be judged on Monday. Fine except that i have to get the Prince in by Friday as im on Holiday this Saturday.....
Pictures will follow shortley of the model in question after I go out and undercoat him.

Apolegies for not posting anything for 3 weeks but Ive spent 1 week in the middle of no where (exmoor) and a week at RAF Lossiemouth so no hope of getting anywhere near the internet.

However that does not been ive been lazy, tommorrow will reveal what ive been up to.

Broke my last promise but Ive finally got something else to post
M4A2 Shermans from the plastic soldier company. Well worth the £11 I paid for them direct from the owner of the company The kits go toghether so easily and there are loads of different options. They beat FOW hands down



Also gone slightly mad and started sculpting a troll in 6mm. This is my first ever attempt at sculpting so Im quite chuffed with how it looks at the moment



Also have some gondorians converted from Baccus 6mm Romans
