I have played most of my games aginst space marines. I have only won once out of too many games I wish to count. Any tips would be helpful.

Best bet is to swarm them down with millions of gaunts, i think 
You might want to ask in the tactics section. There are some pretty good Nid players on here that should be able to give you some help.

If it's vanilla Marines than making use of tyranid's alternate deployment options is something i've seen used to great effect.
Between Hive Commander, Lictors, Mycetic spoors, Trygons, etc. there are a lot of options that allow you to not take as much firing before you get them tied up in combat
