I would honestly trade in those razorbacks to get rhinos so your psycannons can fire, the dreads will do the job for taking down most vehicular threats on the board, if you do that and drop ONE of the ven dreads to a normal dread, then I believe you could afford another normal dread as well, so that will give you more long-range firepower that you will need.

This is a cut and paste from a previous thread but applies perfectly to your list as well;

I run a Crowe list and love it as well. There are a few points to make:

Ven Dreads are IMHO a waste of points. For an extra ~50 points you get +1 BS so hit on 2's. You're already re-rolling your Psyflemen dread shots due to twin linked so.... ya, I just never had an issue hitting with the regular dreads - especially since their main role is to take out transport vehicles.

I'm going to go against the group and say drop the razorbacks entirely. Before I get flamed to death hear me out!

Your rhino already has 2 fire points. With 2 psycannons in the rhino you're already getting 4 Str 7 AP 4 shots - okay, they're not rending but you'll be booking it with your rhino to capture objectives anyway so you won't be able to fire a main gun. However the psycannon is an assault weapon so when you move at half speed they can still fire at the assault 2 rate.


By turning the razorbacks into rhinos and "downgrading" the 2 venerable dreads to regular dreads you can actually fit in a third psyfleman dreadnought. Either way dropping the 2 ven dreads to regular dreads will bring you within ~20 points close to a 3rd regular psyfleman dread. I perosnally feel 12 Str 8 AP 4 TL shots from 3 BS 3 platforms is better than 8 Str 8 AP 4 TL shots from 2 Bs 2 platforms.

In fact,using mathhammer... Against marines the 2 ven dread options will cause 2.16 unsaved wounds in a turn of firing whereas the 3 regular dread option will cause 2.96 wounds in a turn of firing. Against an AV 11 vehicle with the 2 ven dreads you will shake 1.29 times, stun, weapon destroy and immobile .86 times, wreck .64 times and eplode .64 times. With 3 psyflemans against the same vehicle you will shake 1.777 times (per turn), stun, weapon dest. and immobile 1.185 times and wreck/explode .88 times. At AV 12 you will destroy .37 with ven dreads, .44 with reagular dreads.

The math just doesn't justify the ven dread when the primary purpose of the psyfleman is to take down light AV vehicles and monstrous creatures. I'd take blowing up a vehicle 88% of the time over 64% of the time any day of the week. Plus you're almost guaranteed a glancing hit (118% of the time)
