15 Lootas

The Total is 1685pts.

Now I've bin told not to use Ghaz and just put another Big Mek with KFF in there, but I thought one would be good enough, and ghaz brings some good punching power with those nobs. And with the Nobs as troop choices I can grab objectives with them while Krumpin' stuff with Ghaz

Any pointers or 'Constructive Criticism' would be great (No trolling/talking bull, Ive bin looking in a lot of other peoples posts, and lately bin seeing people talk out there ***)

Nobz on foot are not advised. They are not diversified so 1 dies and you start taking leadership tests. Thraka in a footslogging army is tough with his slow and purposeful. I think a warboss would be more viable. I think you should drop the nobz and Ghaz fill out your boyz squads add in kommandos with Snikrot and you should be solid. This might be a little more viable:

Big Mek -KFF 85
Warboss -PK -Cybork -Attack Squig 110

Lootasx15 225
Lootasx15 225
Kommandosx9 -2xBurna -Snikrot 205

Ork Boyzx25 -Nob -PK -BP -Big Shootax2 200
Ork Boyzx25 -Nob -PK -BP -Big Shootax2 200
Ork Boyzx25 -Nob -PK -BP -Big Shootax2 200
Gretchinx10 -Runtherdx1 40

Deffkopta -TL Rokkit -Buzzsaw 70
Deffkopta -TL Rokkit -Buzzsaw 70
Deffkopta -TL Rokkit -Buzzsaw 70

Still got the Warboss for the Str10 PK attacks, Lootas for fire support, Kommandos and Snikrot to make the enemy fear the board. KFF can cover Boyz and Warboss while they march up field. Koptas scout first turn to pop transports and tie up the enemy at their home base. Gretchin enter from reserves to claim an objective near your table edge.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

actually, instead of Kommandos and Snikrot, would 9 Stormboyz and Zagstruck be a better option in your opinion?

Just get a boyz box and convert them. Look here for inspiration http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/167383-close%20up%20kommandos.html?m=2 other pics out there too. 2 will be burnas while you will have plenty of from the loota boxes, 1 is Snikrot so 6 kommandos will be easy enough. Burna heads are pretty good for kommando conversions, just throw on some back packs, knives, mines and stick bombs then paint them with some camo and you're good. Or you can go for some off the wall ideas like this:

Never tried stormboyz and Zag. I think he could be viable with a 15+ unit of stormboyz and him deep striking. You'd have to kill a copta which if you did would have enough points for Zag and 15 Stormboyz. Either way it would be cool, since stormboyz and kommandos are basically boyz you are trading different things.

Stormboyz will give you more bodies (thought you lose D3 models when deep striking) PK attacks for 1 turn from Zag and the ability to deep strike into battle giving you a better change of being in the action on the turn you show up.

Kommandos give you burnas which remember if you don't fire count as power weapons.

On paper I like the stormboyz better but proxy them try them out and see which ones you like better.

Not directed at me, but I'd say no.

I think the Kommandos would be better. You have to deep strike with Zaggy so not really that good of an option, IMO..but you could try both out and seee what you like better.

If you do go for the Stormboy option you free up an elite slot and could split the lootas up into 1 unit if 15 and 2 units of 5 this would free up 75points so you can boost the boyz mobs to 29 each.

And remember, Zaggy strikes at initiative with a PK every time he Assaults. That's 5 Str 9 Power weapon attacks at Init. 4, plus the Boyz.

Really, really not bad.

Ok sweet az, thanks for the tips.

I was having a look at the Orks Tactica par 3...or 2, and it said for a 1500 point list that a 16 man stormboyz squad (Not including Zaggy is quite good? Whats your guy's view on it?

4th edition stuff. I think they still had Waaagh!!, and since only Fleet units could Run, they were hella fast compared to anything else.

They're still pretty fast, but you're paying a lot for something that's only got 6+d6" more threat range (and only 6" more when the rest of the army Waaagh!!s).

The thing I can't understand is, why is everybody so worried about losing a Stormboy or two when moving or Deepstriking? Yes, there's the threat of terrain, and Mishaps, but no more than for other deepstriking Jump troops. And Stormboys are still probably about half the cost of other armies jumptroops, with the option for Zagstruk, who's special rules are actually rather decent.
