So originally the art and fluff for the final battle between Horus and the Emperor had him with 2 lightning claws

which later became Abaddon's claw.

But later art has Horus with a whacking stick.

Was there every any fluff or a name for the whacking stick or is it just the Unholy Whacking Stick of Horus O'Heresy?

That definitely should be the name.

I can see Horus playing "whack-a-mole" with Sanguinius's head. Makes me happy.

No, it's got no name as far as I know. Not entirely sure why it should either; it's not exactly a Daemon Weapon. I guess if he had the 'Talon of Horus' it could be 'the Stick of Horus', although the latter sounds like a dodgy video that Fulgrim once watched...

This is really the cause of the strife between the Emprah and Horus. Big E was content listening to, you know, Gordon Lightfoot, the Eagles, maybe a little CS&N on a slow night, that sort of thing, but then his son, Horus, gets in with a crowd from the other side of the tracks, and, before you know it, is in baggies and a bandana, with his ride tricked out with the effects, Trues & Vogues, the whole nine yards, rockin' the pimp-stick swagger.

It was just another example of the eternal conflicts that arise between generations.

Well they quickly realized that since Abadodo has the "talon of Horus" then what happened to the other one? Rather then use the chance for cooler fluff, of another possible "son of chaos" you know a COOLER Abadodoo, they just changed the image of Horus and said nothing about it. So whack A mole stick of evil evils! Sounds liek a winner to me
