In a squad of nobz, if you want a painboy is it nob price +30 points for a painboy, or is it just 30 points for a painboy not counting the 25 for the nob.

You've got to be kidding me...

The point cost is redonkulous.

Feel no pain on a squad of 2 wound models where everyone can be different is amazing, for that points cost its great, but compared to BA priests and thier area bubble for 5 points less a slap in the face.

But having an extra wound, not being targeted in close combat, not giving up an extra kill point is not a slap in the face to priests? really, that is just hog wash.

You think that's bad? Spare a thought for Paladins: 40 for the model + 75 Points extra for FNP makes the Painboy seem like a bargain.

you make me laugh, you think thats expensive try buying a squad of 10 plague marines when one plague marine costs 23pts, or if you want to upgrade your 1k sons squad with a sorcerer thats 60pts (and all he gets is one spell).

Night Lords (40k): 3500pts
Klan Zaw Klan: 4000pts

Thanks, further proves my point.

I would happily pay 125 points for a 2+/4++ I4 painboy with a power weapon and a large blast.
Heck, I would field paladin units in any ork list, even without any fancy GK stuff like aegis or ATSKNF.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Right, 5++ vs shooting, which he got without any extra cost in the first place. Doesn't change a thing about my statement.

The ability to reduce the chance of taking a wound to 8,3% is bound to be more expensive than the ability to reduce the chance of taking a wound to 25%/33%/50%.

Similar question about the Terminator Special Char from the GK codex. the one with I shall not Yield. How much does he cost? 50 + 75 for the upgrade or 75 ?

50 + 75. It's pretty obvious that you buy the Termie Squad then upgrade the Justicar for 75 pts.

He's 75 points on top of the unit. Not sure where you're getting the 50.

I was in Paladin Mode, thinking that you bought the Termies individually instead as a unit, so yeah, it's 200 + 75 for 4 Termies and Thawn.

What I meant was that if you buy a lets say normal squad of 5 for 200 and want to buy more models for it (I dont have the book so the numbers may be off) with one of those models being Thrawn or w/e that Necron wannabe is called, you pay 50 for a new member then 75 to upgrade him or one of the other existing members to Thrawn. That's how I would play it but not how my opponent constructed his list the last time I played.

EDIT: You cant buy him in a normal Terminator squad? Who makes GK Terminators scoring in the Codex? Thrawn ?

Alkasyn, you need to look at a GK codex. :p

Alkasyn.

Firstly, he upgrades the Justicar. You cannot buy more justicars, just normal terminators. Thus you only pay 75 points extra for thawn.

Secondly, Theyre also not 50 points each.

Thirdly, Thawn does not make normal GKTs scoring, they already are scoring.

Thanks, that clarifies it a lot.
