If a Tyranid Prime joins a unit of Termagants, shooting attacks roll to wound against the majority T3.
If the Tyranid Prime chooses to roll a save against a Krak Grenade (S6), will the Prime's T5 or the unit's T3 be used for the purposes of whether the wound inflicts Instant Death?
Likewise, if two Primes join a Ripper unit and only one Ripper base is left alive, incoming shots will roll to wound against the Primes' T5. If a Krak Grenade wound is allocated to the Ripper, will the Ripper's T3 or the Prime's T5 be used for the purposes of whether the wound inflicts Instant Death?

Instant Death, BRB page 26 does speak about the model's base Toughness, not the value used for wounding.

The value you re wounded on is irrelevant when determining Instant Death.
ALL ID cares about is Strength vs base toughness

As above, but I'd like to point out that Krak grenades can only used against vehicles, not regular units or MCs.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.

Well that is not true, the Astartes Grenade launcher on P.56 of the Blood Angles codex says it is loaded with frag and krak grenades and those krak grenades are S6. so Krak grenades from the Astartes Grenade launcher are S6 and can be used against regular units and MCs. But Nos has it: "ALL ID cares about is Strength vs base toughness"
