Hi Dakka-ites

im looking into doing a lamenters BA army and i was just ondering if anyone could post a reply filled with background to make them a themed list.

like what would i include/exlude?

i understand they are BA that are very unlucky.... anything else?

Lexicanum is always a good place to start.

Given that they can't get any new recruits until their penance crusade is over, removing scouts would be good and flavorful. It wouldn't take too much handwavium to use them as a straight C:SM army.

They have very little in the way of termy armour, or vehicles for that matter. Unless you are playing them during their stint in the maelstrom deffenders befored the badab heresy. They were fully stocked in vehicles due to Lugfts industrialisation. More Vanguard vets than sternguard like other blood angels chapters.

Unlike other BA chapters however...
They seem to have dodged the flaw though on the other hand their luck seems to be much more of a downside...

Since badab they have started showing signs of the flaw, they now have a death company

Tactical Squads
1 Unit of (ornatley converted) Terminators
1 Unit of Death Company
Vangaurd
Assault marines
stormraven gunships

what does everyone think to that if my list ONLY consisted of that?

Running the assault marines jump pack less inside razorbacks can be effective. gives you fast transport plus some additional cheap tank busting from the RB.

Since they are fleet based having drop pods can make it a little fluffy

No just no. That doesn't fit into the fluff. Lementors do not have that many vechiles they were space battle specialists and his current list is fine.
