Talia isn't shown, but is confirmed, and is being voiced by the lovely Stana Katic, from Castle.

A wealthy merchant/criminal who died in a swamp and was resurrected with amnesia and half his body reformed using swamp matter, he couldn't recall his name but somehow remembered he was born on a monday causing some homeless folk to nickname him Solomon grundy.

Wierd. Kind of like the.... Man Thing, in that he's a sort of elemental?

No, he isn't elemental he just is half decomposed so bits of stuff are kind of stuck in an around him.

He is essentially a zombie. A really big zombie, but a zombie nonetheless. Originally created as a villain for the first Green Lantern, he is actually a really really old, but obscure villain.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

Thanks to awesome cartoons like Justice League (Unlimited) and especially Batman: the Brave and the Bold, such villains are making comebacks.

As to the vid: Hmm, cockney-ish Penguin is better in principle than practice. Oswald Cobblepot is an American, n'est-ce pas?

I always imagined Penguin as Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

Weird... I always saw him as a Danny DeVito type, but whatever...

A little less Burton via DeVito and a little more Burgess Meredith. I think that's where they were going visually but he still looks a bit too ragged for the Gentleman of Crime (something I never liked about the Batman Returns version). The accent is totally dumb. But, to say something positive, Telia looks delicious.

More Details! From Facebook.

UK Magazine Edge has revealed some brand new details regarding Batman: Arkham City in their latest issue.

You can check out a summary the details below;

- “Bane can now team up with Batman for a series of sub-missions that see the unlikely duo tracking down shipments of chemical contraband.”

- “There will be entirely new gadget editions, and the latest to be unveiled is the Remote Electrical Charge (REC). A jury rigged shotgun variant at heart, it grants an instant spark-splattered knock back to foes, or far worse if they’re clad in metal armor and can be used to turn and adversaries breaking weapons of their own into unreliable allies, as they twitch and shudder after being hit.”

- The REC will cause machine gun holders to spray their clip uncontrollably and works wonders on multiple enemies, especially coming in handy against Joker’s one armed thug and his crowd.

- The new gadget also comes into play during puzzles. A quick blast of the REC will turn some metal objects into magnets as well as acting as a charge to redundant machinery.

- There are 4 hours worth of Catwoman gameplay in the game.

- A screenshot displays Catwoman with her goggles on, this is the first sign of her doing this.

- The main path storyline in Arkham City is bigger than Arkham Asylum’s. This is without taking the side-quests into account.

- If you fail a side-quest you’re able to return to it in a better state after upgrading your gadgets and abilities.

- There are other minor mentions of Arkham City in Arkham Asylum (like Sharp's office) but Sefton Hill didn’t mention them as he “didn’t want to spoil anything.”

Bane to be a playable character in Batman: Arkham City

After their somewhat (read: hugely) successful attempt at a Batman game with Arkham Asylum, developer Rocksteady hasn't shied away from taking full advantage of the Batman license. Arkham City is jam-packed with a bevy of the Caped Crusader's allies and adversaries.

Both Talia Al Ghul and The Penguin were announced earlier this month and, via the Arkham City Comic-Con panel, we know that Bane will join the cast of characters available to fight at the Dark Knight's side.

It's interesting to see Bane on this side of the story. It's not an altogether new event -- Bane was always conflicted character -- but it's an interesting angle to take on the villain.

They've also released a handful of new screens showing the aforementioned 'ally' as well as Catwoman, and the Batman himself. You can find the full panel here for some interesting talk amongst the cast.

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

As someone who only got a PS3 last Saturday and therefore only just started playing Arkham Asylum for the first time, all I can say is that I cannot wait for this game. According to the game I’m 70% of the way through Asylum, so plenty more to do before I finish, and this was a detailed and lengthy game. If this game is even bigger then bring it on!!!

The Predator sections in Asylum are just... so amazing. I hope we get a healthy amount of these in City.

I thought Arkham Asylum was the game of the year when it came out, and it looks like I'll be thinking the same about this one. However, there is one thing:

- The REC will cause machine gun holders to spray their clip uncontrollably and works wonders on multiple enemies, especially coming in handy against Joker’s one armed thug and his crowd.

Does this mean you can make enemies shoot each other? Doesn't seem very Batman-like...

Driven away from WH40K by rules bloat and the expense of keeping up, now interested in smaller model count games and anything with nifty mechanics.

More details:

Some brand new details for Batman: Arkham City have today surfaced thanks to the latest issue of UK magazine Play.

In their latest issue is a 6 page article on the game containing new information on the Detective Mode.

You can check out the details below.

-Arkham City is full of little hints and nods, when entering Crime Alley, a button prompt allows Batman to pay respects to his parents.

- Detective mode features a surveillance system that allows Batman to eavesdrop on enemies, patient players will be able to discover a lot of the story by simply stopping and listening, though there are red herrings and "Chinese whispers" everywhere.

- Arkham City will feature a compass system at the top of the screen that directs players where to go, when Detective Mode is activated, this compass will disappear, combined with the limited ability to view the environment, this makes navigating the City in Detective Mode difficult.

- Getting attacked whilst in Detective Mode will cause it short out, and Batman's vision will resort to normal.

- Arkham City will feature Elite enemies, like Tyger Guards or the well equipped thugs of the Penguin, they will carry jammers that disable Batman's Detective Mode; "You've then got to identify them, find them and take them out to allow you use it again and carry on" says Dax Ginn

- Catwoman's Thief Vision highlights the City in an orange hue, and enemies become bright white.
