I recently purchased an imperial guard army and some tanks off ebay. I have started to paint the tanks and one of the platoon command squads.

here are the pics of the tanks so far. C&C welcome

I'll post my Infantry as soon as I take some pics later today.

Its a solid base-coat but I think the metallics could do with a bit more depth. Also not to nit-pick too much, but are the HBs the right way up on the second from bottom?

Another detail oriented comment I ahve is that all the tanks seem to be 114. The standard Guard designation is a 3 digit number corresponding to company/squadron/tank, hence the numbers on each tank should be different (it also helps you build up their mystique when they start doing awesome stuff on the battlefiled )

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

The 114 is for the regiment but I see your point. I don't know how I will be making the tanks squadrons as of yet so the numbers might be wrong if I change a tank into a different squadron. And yes the HBs are upside down... I didn't build these. I got all of the tanks second hand and there are some mistakes here and there with building that I tried to fix.

Also would a simple wash of black or possible brown help give the metallics more depth?
