Haven't got a name for them yet, I've only been into Warhammer for about 4 months so far, and this is all the models I have painted so far.

I've probably played about 20 games total, and haven't won many. I have a few other un-painted models, and can field a 1000 points army without any worries. I have a converted prime, but I'm not hugely happy with the conversion, so haven't painted him.

Just thought I'd get all my painted models together, and while I was there I'd get some pics up for you guys. I don't think I've done too bad in 4 months, considering I've not painted miniatures since I was about 12. Here's what I've painted so far, in this order -

3 Warriors,
8 Genestealers
Zoanthrope
10 Termagants
Hive Guard
12 Hormagaunts
Trygon

So.... here they are!

My least favorite are the Genestealers, I went with the fleshy look, and did a bit too much dry brushing, as I wanted them done asap. Next batch I will do with proper striped armour, to help separate the broods. I loved the Zoanthrope models the most I think. The trygon was also good, but man it took alot of time and effort!

What does everyone think? I'm open to all comments and criticisms as I'm still learning so everything is welcome!

Thanks guys!

For someone who is 4 months in the hobby your models look great.Your Trygon is way better than stuff I did when I was 4 months in the hobby and on my first army

I think your genestelaers are spot on as they dont have a carapace anyway , my first tyranids many years ago were just a paint pot literally emmptied onto one model

These are very good. The bases are also exceptional for someone 4 onths in

Theres something about raiding planets and then bathing in the slaves misery and torment that really gets me. I love DE, and can now play in 2000point matches with the addition of my latest stuff! Kabal of the Purple Blaze.

I also have 2 squads of IG Shock troopers and a Platoon Comand squad as a start to my IG army For Cadia Check out my blog - http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/380874.page#3047386

Great looking army. I love the paint job on the chitin plates. Definitely gives my inspiration to start my own tyranids army!

4250 points of Blood Angels goodness, sweet and silky W12-L6-D4
1000 points of Teil-Shan (my own scheme) Eldar Craftworld in progress
800 points of unassembled Urban themed Imperial Guard
650 points of my do-it-yourself Tempest Guard
675 points of Commoraghs finest!

Thanks for the kind replies!
Trygons base is nearly done, first adventurous base I've had a go at, will get pictures up when it's done!

I finally won a match last night by a land slide, so my faith is restored! Going to work on getting lots of little guys painted now! Not that I'm looking forward to it!

great space bugs, if this is your first run after 4 months you are a very good painter sir (or mad'am).

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you and hear the lamentations of the Eldar!

Sweet little army you've got going

Particularly loving the contrast provided by the vibrancy of the red on the Trygon's plates...

This is a wonderful tabletop force. The armor plates look great, in particular.

The only big suggestion I would make is to make the Genestealer's back chitin the same color as the rest of the army's chitin plates. This will help tie them into the rest of the army, and will relieve them of only being a single color. They're a bit boring to look at in comparison to the rest of your Tyranids.

Thanks for the kind words.

I do agree with the Genestealers. I was at the start of painting my army, and had only done a few other models, when I did all 8 of them together. I wanted them to look very fragile and fleshy, and as alien as possible. Unfortunately they have come out looking a bit bland. These are also the only models I have used drybrushing on. I plan to paint another 4 Genestealers this way, so I can field a brood of 12 of them, and then I'll do the second brood with the armour painted. I think it would look nice having differently coloured squads. Could also use them for Ymgarls aswell.

I'm currently on a big drive to get as many gants painted as possible!

Wow...
Since I'm watching miniwargamings battle reports I have a hang on those bugs and this is one superb scheme.
You pulled it off really well.

Adore the Kraken scheme you have there. Tried it so many times and it's never worked for me, but well done on getting it to look so good.
