So submitted the list for Bayou Battles, and in a fit of impulsiveness made some untested changes.

It was 3 parts being tired with playing the same stuff, two parts wanting to bring some of my more interesting paint jobs, one part wanting to fit in the Master Rune of Challenge, and four parts disgust with the 175 point grudgethrower.

Trotted it out today, against Kiwidru. His list was very polite, though he played it quite well. Despite almost no help from magic- two spells went off through 5 turns- it was gruesome. At the bottom of turn 6, all I had was a panicked grudgethrower.

Adjusting expectations accordingly!

Whoops! So besides a huge mistake, looks like I made a small one too. The ironbreaker muso is one point more than I put in the spreadsheet, so I'm actually a point over. As a result, I've dropped out a shield warrior and given the challenge thane a Rune of the Furnace.

GT starts tomorrow morning. I thought about putting up a report thread, but it might be a while before everything gets written, so I've decided to hold off on that one.

As it is, I'm sitting at a big fat one practice game. I'm also sitting on what's gotta be a 5-6 game losing streak, including a loss to one of my travel buddies that was my worst-ever (didn't earn a single VP). So, at least I've got a lot of confidence rolling in to this thing!

Wish I was down there, but alas I had to work. CAWS showed up with 6-7 I think. Any chance you'll be at Rock Wars?

@moseefus: Not going to be at Rock Wars this year, but going to definitely look in to it for next. It'll hinge on the travel time/costs, but it sounds great.

BTW, I *did* play one of the CAWS crew, though- Bryan T. second round!
