Hey, dakka, I just got resident evil the mercenaries for 3ds, and have to admit, I'm a big fan of the franchise, so, let's discuss our favorite games/moments/characters from the franchise.

My favorite game is 4, because of the gameplay.

My favorite moment in all of the games was in code veronica x, when one of the corpses gets dragged under the building by what you later find out is a cerebrus(the infected dogs)

My favorite character is leon s. kennedy, because he's not buff, and his story is appealing. My favorite enemy is the neptune, this shark you cannot kill, not even with a rocket, unless you drain the water.

Resident Evil 5...
I got it for free and only played it with a friend.
The controls were a b*tch but eventually you get there.
Good times were had on that game...

Favorite moment: My friend started a fight with a flock of chickens and almost died... Highly entertaining.
Favorite character: Sheva... though using the backstory me and my friend made up about her being a robot.
Favorite enemy: The really massive uroboros on the cargoship... now that was fun.

The Reaper were good fun as well. I remember killing the first one, took us a while.
Everything got so much easier once the infinate ammo rocket launcher was a possibility...
In fact any infinate ammo stuff.
The first time we played through we had to kill Wesker with stun batons because we ran out of ammo...

I generally enjoyed 4 and 5, even though there weren't any real zombies, the enemies were refreshing. I like how if you aimed at their head long enough, they'd move out of the way. With the t-virus as the source, you really didn't have to fight the zombies, just run by them.

What about the chainsaws?

I've played Mercs 3D as well. The concept works great for a handheld game, but now I want to play RE5 again.

Favourite moment: That's a though one, but it would probably something awesome Leon does in RE4. Because that game is pretty much just Leon doing bad-ass stuff.

Favourite Character is definetly Wesker. He's one of my all time favourite video game villians, even before JC Denton started to do the voice over. Now he's just perfect.

Favourite enemy would probably something Umbrella-made and not the Plagas. Neptun's a pretty good choice, but I think I'll go with Nemesis.

Oh, man, nemesis was a pain in neck to fight. I'm not sure, but I've heard (hopefully it's true) there will be one in resident evil revelation. After playing the demo, I was impressed with it, but, since it's still under developement, I can't say for sure.

Definitely Code Veronica on the Dreamcast, though the originals were great too.

Ran really quickly and could kill you damn fast...

there's a part on 4 where you pick which path to take to the castle, one, you fight a giant, the other, you're stuck in a closed area with 2 chainsaw ganados, the bella sisters.

I always found myself trying to save ammo, so running always helps. With the t-virus, the zombies are easy to evade, but the dogs are almost impossible to dodge.

The dogs are possibly the creepiest thing in the entire series...

Res series is great , played all the games nearly , choosing a fave moment would be tricky , but if forced it would have to be the intro to resident evil outbreak

fave game is res 4 , but i have a soft spot for the original too , so many classic moments , and it was my first ps1 game, dogs jumping through the windows , naked zombies , and the impossible end boss . and it was really two games in one , bargain.

I was looking forward to the new raccon city but this trailer made me think otherwise :-(

a few years back i made my own tribute to res with a small mission for arma ( armed assaullt ) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARMA:_Armed_Assault using zombies too unfortunately i lost all in a hard drive failure, only the pics left now

This is proper apocalypse level stuff they have made. Who the hell is gonna buy it and use it? Even if they did find a buyer, why sell it to them? They would have no market for more sales and more importantly they would be dinner.

It's been quite a while since I posted anyhting in it, so please don't comment in there to avoid threadnecromancy. But I do have a few models lying around and I really want to get this project back running after playing Mercenaries 3D, so stay tuned.

Amazing, and I like the use of zombies!!! pieces too. I would love to play/play against an army like that, pure genius, mine wound up being demons, using plaguebearers for troops, beasts of nurgle for elites, and heralds for HQ, as well as a nurgle demon prince. It was fun, lacked the true zombie feel like your army has, and it lacked a cool zombie/B.O.W. boss like your nemesis.

Hmm... Demons are actualy not a bad idea. I have to think about it.
