Kouran is nice... Except that he is going to die in the first round of the first combat he gets in. It's that simple. There are better places to spend the points - like in getting that 20th BG.

Any better idea where to put the 70 something points? I suppose harpies would be better.

Just a few comments.
I don't see the point of sword of striking on the general.
Soul Render (drops armor save to 2+) is much better.

Swap Kouran for either harpies or more shades. Either is much better.

What lores for the level 2's?

I"m not really sold on a 15 point great weapon that has armor piercing. Hitting on 2's I like more.

Haven't decided on which lores. As I play mainly against my wife(this is her army) we pick lores before the game as it used to be done. In all honesty that rule only really matters for tournies so that you are stuck with the same lore regardless of opponent. My wife knows she's going up against high elves every time.

Hitting on 2's with reroll vs. hitting on 3's with reroll is pretty negligible. Dropping armor saves by 4 instead of 1 is pretty huge, as is swinging with S6 vs S4. High Elves are going to swing first anyway, so the ASL aspect of it doesn't matter.

Good point I'll look into making the change.

Also don't forget that Soul Render is way more cool than "Sword of Striking".
