Has anyone used a tacitcal template from gale force 9? If so, how well does it "perform". I might want to get one. Thanks!

The 6" side makes infantry movement quick. it's also good for vehicle movement. (move 6" then move another 6" if you are going 12")

The 2" side is great for seeing who can swing in close combat, checking coherency and seeing where you can deploy out of a transport

The 4" is only useful if you have vehicle squadrons.

You can also spin it on a finger, that's neat.

yeah, we all do that a lot when playing.

..sometimes in formation

I find it a great tool, practically essential really.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all

It's a great tool.

6" infantry move? Check.
4" vehicle squadron coherency? Check.
2" infantry coherency? Check.
1" minimum distance to enemy units? Check.

I also use it for my infinity games (it's currently in my Infinity bag as the 6/4/2/1 inch distances are also handy for it.

It does one thing that a tape measure can't do easily:

Check the distance between two bases. Whether a 2" coherency, an "angry inch," or a 6" assault, you can drop the template down and see if you're in or out.

I love mine, and it's not like you can't use the 4" side for 4" difficult terrain rolls and the like.

I got one in my attempts to make the games with friends a little faster. Needless to say I haven't noticed any decrease in our game times, but it is quite a useful tool. Much easier to use than a tape measure just to simply move your guys. Plus if you make your opponent use it then it disallows them to sneak in a 6.5" movement or any such shenanigans.

Great tool, vital if you have an infantry heavy force as it really speeds things up.

Just get one, women will want you and men will want to be you... it's THAT cool. (I am not compensated by GF9 in any way)

Seriously though, it's as essential as dice in my army bag.

Sure it does, its actually 100% accurate as opposed to "well the 6" line is really here.. instead of where you said it is" When the TAC template ends, youre over

My friend picked one up the last time we played a game at the FLGS. I'll be getting one the next time I go. Best eight dollars you can spend on tools for your game.

I also think it is a great tool. It is well worth purchasing if you're already ordering something from GF9 or if it's stocked in your LGS.

Most of the GF9 templates and counters are handy. The multi-template can be a little fiddly, so I prefer to use separate blast and flame templates, but I like to have a backup multi-template in every one of my bags in case I forget to bring my usual templates.

You won't regret getting one. Especially handy for hoard army players.

They're great for showing the "measure while I move" players that 6" and 9" are very different.

Tier 1 is the new Tactical.
