this is not a good list. Not good at all. You're taking Crowe for the Purifiers therefore you get them as Troops, but taking Rhinos over Razorbacks with Psybolt Ammo is so unbelievably amateur.
Not taking a Dreadnight with two Autocannons and Psybolt ammo is the rookiest mistake too.
Your Librarian should also be taking Might Of Titan, Quicksilver and Warp Rift as his three basic spells, The Shrouding and Sanctuary are if he's got the extra ten points.
Your GK's should also have 3 Halberds, a Daemonhammer and one sword, the +1 invul save from the sword can mean all the difference in the game believe it or not.
I assume the Purifiers are going with your two HQ's in the Ravens which isn't bad as long as you make the changes to the Libby that I suggested.
I'd drop the Land Raider and Dread for two Dreads with two TL-autocannons and Psybolt Ammo (str. 8 ap 4, 4 shots twin linked? Yes please!) and add those two powers to your Libby, add Razorbacks w/psybolt ammo to as many squads as you can, literally life saves, especially over Rhino's. I'd add them to all four Purifier squads, seeing as you can get away with it, add a Purifier with halberd to each squad for 6 and that should be about right. How can someone be wrong from taking a different list? Maybe he has differnt tactics. Maybe he is playing with what he has. Maybe he just like certain things.
I hate it when people say take this list or you are going to lose.
I personally don't think Storm ravens are worth there points. If he wants to run them, then by all means he should run them. Its all a matter of opinion.
Now Yes I do agree that you list is a bit better, but dont tell him he is wrong for doing something else. Thats just not cool.

Well, no, I'm assuming he's entering 'ard boyz, therefore he wants a competitive list, therefore there's a difference between being right and wrong, I'm sorry, there is, if you want to have a fun list, you can have a fun list, if you want a tourny list, you have a tourny list, its black and white (I was actually allowing for a pure list, I wouldn't walk out my door 1500+ without a Vindicare)... Also, I think I only took a land raider out of the list, nothing else... I just made it extremely competitive...

Did you say this? I think you did. So yes you did say he is wrong.
Now I do understand what you were trying to do and that is why he asked I am sure. I don't think that all lists have to be the same to be competitive either. I have seen this list put up by so many people. Damn if all grey knights are going to be the same. Then I should be able to just make up my list to be really useful to that list right?
Me perosnally I wouldn't run Crowe. I think he is such a crap character. I don't see how his 150pt price tag is worth taking as he is not a IC, he can't really attack anything. The only good is to make purifiers troops. Well I can do the same thing with a grand master or two. (effectively)
I thought his list is fine. If he knows how to run it. Which I am guessing he does.

its ok i want to know where i am, i am also working with what i got, keep the info comming, so the dreads should be tl autocannon and fist or swap fist for autocannon,
and i dont have razorbacks i only have rinos, is it ok to take two psycannons since i dont get a turret on top, and another reason to take crow is troops are fearless and you can get up to two guns in a squad with out haveing 10 men
i also am working with my old daemon hunters models, so almost all of then have halbreds im converting for hammers
and other than crow the whole army is metal
keep up the advice i love it

I don't know I see fearless as a bad thing for the most part.
Yeah the Dread with 2x T-L Autocannons are pretty mean especially with psybolt ammo. Yeah 2 psycannons are not a bad idea in a squad shooting out of the rhino.

In general the competitive lists involve Crowe, Lots of Purifiers (razorbacks and rhinos are both good choices depending on what you want to do with the squad inside) and Dreadnaught support (psybolt autocannons are the most effective choice).
Now after that it can get a bit tricky, but basically you are looking for support for the Purifiers. You can take more dreads (IMO the Ven dreads outperform the heavy support dreads in every possible way). But at the 2.5k level it's also a possibility to include Paladins. They give you a very nasty and durable beatstick which in turn will draw fire away from your valuable Purifiers. Alternatively you can take Coteaz as a 2nd HQ giving you lots of access to melta and plasma, though perhaps in a Crowe list that would be counter-productive since you end up stealing troop slots that would otherwise be Purifiers. A librarian is a solid choice for protecting yourself on the way in and buffing your own units once you hit combat.
There are a lot of open doors at 2.5k and you just get to choose which one you want to walk through.

Just wanted to point out that this is illegal. If you take an incinerator or psycannon, you need to drop a nemesis weapon. It should be like this:
PURIFIER SQUAD [10]
[4] Incinerator, [4] Halberd, [2] Daemonhammer
Razorback w/Psybolt Ammo, Searchlight
Point total : 309
PURIFIER SQUAD [6]
[2] Incinerators, [3] Halberd, Daemonhammer
Razorback w/Psybolt Ammo, Searchlight
Point total : 206
If you're taking purifiers, it's much better to take psycannons and rhinos. Psycannons give you the flexibility of engaging the enemy or shooting from afar (from mid-range). With incinerators, basically you only have 1 option and that is to get close to the enemy. Besides, with Cleansing Flame and halberds, the incinerators are an overkill. You already have anti-horde capability.
I would kit out the purifiers as follows:
10x Purifiers - 4x Psycannons, 4x Halberds, 1x MC-Hammer, 1x Warding Stave, Rhino w/Dozers - 368 (if I were to run 10-man units)
However, that's pretty expensive and the extra 2 psycannons are wasted while they are in their transport. Instead, I've found this to be more efficient:
6x Purifiers - 2x Psycannons, 3x Halberds, 1x MC-Hammer, Rhino w/Dozers - 225
6x Purifiers - 2x Psycannons, 3x Halberds, 1x Warding Stave, Rhino w/Dozers - 240
I usually give half of my purifiers hammers and half of them warding staves.

You are a jackass. Plain and simple.
Sanctuary and warp rift are wastes of points. The list you posted sucks and would get anal raped by any number of list. Just because you read it online doesn't make it good.
Stormravens are gak. Why would you pay 205pts base for an armour 12 model?
Crowe is gak. He is a weaker mephiston that sucks balls in combat. Purifiers are too expensive. If anything, you've given him advice on how to suck. Keep your opinions and what you've read on other websites to yourself. If he wants to run this list, let him. Don't tell him it sucks because he doesn't use internet explorer for an army builder like you do.

I hate stepping onto a battlefield, but I have to say that jy2 runs a great purifiers list and has proven multiple times that Crowe is not worthless at all in combat with a good general commanding him. Not calling you bad, but if we're going to be fair to everyone let's be fair to all points of view. Also, stormravens have been proven to be useful as the number 6th seed (who barely lost to the number two army in the last round at Wargamescon 2011), had a stormraven (singular) with 5 paladins, so you can make it work I suppose.
To the OP:
If you are interested just check out jy2's battle reports for an excellent purifier/crowe army if you're at all interested. You can see them in action and see how they do in the hands of a good general, too!
