So what happens if a shadow of the warp creature is in range for a farseer, or eldrad. Does the eldar player roll 3D6 and add them up? Or do they cancel each other out and roll 2D6? Thanks!

To be fair, this FAQ was written with the old Tyranids codex. GW hasn't updated the Eldar FAQ since the new Nid codex.

That doesn't change the ruling, but I'd say that the new wording on Shadow of the Warp is more akin to Runes of Warding. If/when Eldar get a new FAQ, I assume it will be updated to work like Runes of Warding. But, for the time being, cancellation is what we've got.

Nope. No mention of Runes of Witnessing appears in the Nids FAQ. And, the only reference to SotW in the Nids FAQ is their interaction to embarked models.
