How many Warhammer 40k Armies Have You Played? I've played 4. What about you?

I've played Space Wolves, Marines, Dark Angels, Chaos Marines, Imperial Guard, Orks, Chaos Marines, and while I've never owned them, I've played Tau before.

Wow bud you have definitely created some pretty good topics here with plenty of discussion.

I've played IG, Tau, Tyranids, Dark Angels, Space Marines, Chaos and I have messed around with a buddies Orks. So I have played with 7 different armies here and there.

About same. I couldn't get my mind straight on which armies I likes most, their all so cool!

I play and still currently own Space Wolves, Tau, Dark Eldar, Orks, IG, Chaos Space marines, and I am currently starting a Necron army as well now.

I currently play Necrons and Orks

I have a Dark Eldar army in the works (just a few models right now)

I have played (but no longer do) Grey Knights, SOB, Daemons, CSM, Marines (back in rogue trader days - Scythes of the Emperor i think), Nids, Squats, Eldar, Tau.

I have lots of armies. some I have sold. In no particular order:

Ultramarine (yes, Ultramar not regular space marines)

Grey Knights
Khorne
Ork
Tau
Tyranid
Inquisitorial (non specific)

having been a red shirt I played them all, but at one point or another those are the ones I have personally owned or currently own. its an expansive hobby.

I've been stuck on Grey knights for a few years now. I find them to be most my style of play and aligns well with my own personal spiritual faith. an easy match.

most fun to play was definitely my Necrons. most challenging was actually Ultramar. MANY options there and it was tough for me to sort it all out.

my wifes 'Nids are interesting. great models but they pose a unique strategy set depending on the players style. I dig it, but not so much as my grey knights.

oh and I have an Ogre Kingdoms fantasy army that has seen the field 3 times. would like to usde more though.

I currently play 3 - IG, CSM, and Daemons.

Back in 2nd, I played Eldar primarily and dabbled in Orks.

Back when Imperial forces got along and didn't brainwash each other to death or bathe in their blood, I played the 'ol triumverite of Daemonhunter, Sisters, and IG. Not all 3 at the same time, but I'd mix it up.

*sigh* the good ol days.

I have and still do play IG and Chaos Daemons.

Ive played eldar and orks. Theyre still both my favorite armies.

I've played, at one point or another, all of the armies except Tau.

Especially back when 3rd edition first came out the main rulebook had army lists so you didn't need the codexes originally.

Currently only got marines and tyranids.

Started with Ultramarines 15 years ago then Tyranids Orks and IG

Necrons, Chaos Daemons quickly followed by Marines, and now the most ambitious ever: the Death Korps of Krieg! D:

I actually started with *gulp* Marines.

But it was only one time and it didn't mean anything to me, I'm so sorry.

Started with the Dark Eldar (I know I know a bad decision) and then IG. Followed by Tau, and the Black Templars as I wanted a more CC army. Afterward I did Orks and then started to not get the BT conversion box for $$$ reasons and just left them as standard marines which I turned into my own chapter the Storm Swords! I used their fluff so that I could use my BT as C:SM and in reverse to save cash. Now I'm looking at CSM since the Tzeentch stuff looks cool and I like the fluff.
So 6 going on 7!

Probably won't pick up eldar, demons, or one of the other marine chapters ever though.

technically speaking I've played chaos daemons/marines, dark and normal eldar, grey knights, necrons, orks, smurfs, tau, and tyranids.

The armies I play with consistency however is grey knights, dark eldar, and tyranids though

Four (Eldar, Dark Eldar, CSM and Tau), where of one (Tau) was sold. The other three I still employ.

I've collected and played:

Smurfs, Orkz, Nids and now Space Wolves.

However, I have also played as Chaos for a few games.

I play and own Space Marines. I've played (but do not own) Necrons.

I've played all of them except Night Lords. Oh wait... Just started those.

I've played tryanids(before the tragic new codex), Space marines, CSM and eldar, I only have the CSM and eldar atm, but if the prices weren't so darn high i would make an all scout army for fun games

Taking "played" to mean "collected at least a few models for with the intention of building a full army but then moving on as I got bored/something else caught my eye": "Nids, Tau, SM, Guard.

However, since I've returned to the hobby, I have managed to stay on track with what I've started.
