Sneaky Striking Scorpion
An Igloo Deep North in Canada, eh?

Hi all, was browsing through the painting showcase, and saw the miniature of the month for July ( http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/386738.page )
I was wondering how one would go about painting the Wraithlord displayed (the white and light blue one).
Thanks in advance!!

Both players should be using the least durable units possible, with the house rule that all players remove an article of clothing every time you lose a unit, and take a drink every time you kill one of your opponent's units.
I have no idea which army will be triumphant, but I can assure you that everyone wins.

That was me who painted it, so I guess I can give advice.
The key colour here is Astronomican Grey. I painted it on all parts I wanted to be blue or white. What was supposed to be blue I then painted with Ice Blue, washed with Asurmen Blue, and then layered with Ice Blue several layers, adding more and more Vallejo White with each layers to make each one brighter than the last.
For the white areas, I did pretty much the same. I layered with Astro Grey + Vallejo White, adding more white to each layer. Though, here I actually painted many of the flat areas completely white in the end, not adding any Astro Grey to it.
Also, nice to hear you liked it!

Ah! didn't expect you to actually catch this post, I was going to PM you if no one knew. I do indeed admire it, always liked the brighter designs than the darker. Thanks for the advice, can never seem to get that popping bright white effect.
Thanks!
