I tihnk you should try to get some air support if you can, to deal with big cats.
Also, three combat platoons of armored cars may be a bit over the top.
A unit of Shermans and/or more infantry would help you more, I believe.
As a long term armored car and divisional cavalry commander for the Brits in
EW,
MW and
LW 3 combat platoons of armored cars is not a bit much in fact it is *not enough*. With the forced disengagement rules on recce units you need as many units of armored cars on the table as possible. My standard
MW list usually includes 5 armored car platoons. Supported by some infantry, priests and either some 6 pdr portees and some cruiser tanks, or some grants/shermans. Armored car forces need mobility and numbers. They will need many more shots to impact, especially in
MW and
LW and need to have both the numbers necessary to distract *and* flank the same targets for side shots. It is hard to accomplish your goals if your recce units are all too busy reorganizing from being shot at.
Armored car commanders also need to be aggressive. If you just wait for the opponent to dictate the combat terms you will be shot to pieces. You have to move in, take the right shots and move away quickly. Even when defending you want your armored cars to be harrassing the flanks of your opponent's forces and not just sitting back waiting for them to come into range. If you cars do their job right it takes forever for the opponent to get to the objectives to capture them and once he does get there he is much weaker.
