Deep in the Webway

This thread's basically been created to display a huge diorama-like battle created, it's not a WIP or a blog or anything like that.

Basically my brother, our friend and I have some pretty big armies, so we decided to lay them out like a diorama. The battle depicts three forces (Necrons, Tyranids and Chaos) forming a temporary alliance to fight against the Eldar, Tau and Imperium. The terrain was provided by my brother and our friend, and I'll detail the models throughout. The Eldar and green Imperium forces belong to my friend, the rest of the Imperium being my brother's (aside from the red ones which are mine), along with the Tyranids, Tau and Chaos. I own the Necrons, red Space Marines and grey Scouts.
Apologies for the use of Photobucket, there were too many images to load up to Dakka, and that many images are blurred.

Here a Dreadknight stands with Scouts that I use in Kill Team missions, in some ruins, at the left flank of the front line:

And these are my friend's Shadow Spectres:

Here's a Chaplain standing above a building:

And a Greater Daemon (I think) that my brother's working on, leading some Bloodletters:

Here's my friend's shadowsword, facing my brother's Greater Daemon:

And the Greater Daemon himself, surrounded by Bloodletters:

Some Dark Angels wait in a bunker my brother made:

A Defiler, bought fairly recently, in the midst of a swarm of Chaos marines, charging into the imperial complex:

A Necron Lord (who unfortunately has no flying base, along with the rest of my Destroyers, as I left them behind ) crossing the river to attack some threatening Terminators:

The bulk of the Necron force marches/flies in from the left flank (from the Imperium's point of view):

And the Eldar ambush them from behind:

The Farseer of the Eldar:

Some Wraiths and Flayed Ones ambush the Scouts, but get outmaneuvered themselves by some Legion of the Damned:

And a bunch of converted winged Space Marines descend upon the Chaos below:

Some Devastator marines arrive in a Drop Pod in the middle of the Necron army, laying waste to many. Their Drop Pod must have malfunctioned (or something) because they were literally slap-bang right in the middle of the enemy, with no support :

A Tyranid horde swarms through the right flank, while a Land Speeder tries to gun some down:

Meanwhile some Genestealers pour into the complex to face the Ultramarines:

At the rear of the battle, Eldar forces move into position to counter the Necrons:

While some kind of Eldar unit (made from Incubi) heads toward the immediate threat of the Heavy Destroyers, with Necron Snipers camouflaged into the bushes:

Necron Immortals take position in a bunker to unleash gauss destruction upon their foe:

And a Tomb Stalker attacks some incoming bikers:

A Land Speeder flies through the ruined streets to bring aid to the ambushed Scouts, hoping to head on to the army ahead:

The fearless Marneus Calgar leads his chosen warriors around the corner to meet the Chaos Daemons head-on, hoping to save their Shadowsword so that it can lay waste to the incoming carnage:

Three Monoliths hover through, blasting gauss destruction at the Eldar, and in the background a Necron Titan materializes, the likes of which have never been seen before...:

Warp Spyders teleport into the midst of the Necron threat, attempting to slow them down and give time for the Space Marines to gun them down:

Some Tau Pathfinders set up on the ridge to bring aid to the Eldar:

A Predator wheels around the side, ready to lay destruction upon the Necrons. Yes, they are Necrons sitting on top of it:

The Sanguinus and his Sanguinary guard stand proud at the back of the complex, ready to give aid to any that need it:

Tomp Spyders and Scarabs emerge from ruins, wreaking havoc among the unprepared marines, while Eldar Swooping Hawks fly down to engage them:

And these Necrons sit in a building randomly:

And Veteran Space Marines charge into the swarming Genestealer threat:

A Stormraven Gunship drops off troops into the fray, before gunning down those in its path:

Heavy artillery, guided by a Techmarine and his Servitors, make their way to the front line:

A shot of the Tau and Eldar, setting up ready to attack the Tyranid threat:

And some Kroot are dying (not literally) to fulfill their carnivorous needs:

Stealth Suits and Fire Warriors move forward to gun down the Necrons from behind:

Terminators march toward the Tyranids, fear not even a contemplation to them:

The Space Marines of the Blood Legion are dug deep in cover, ready to take on the first wave:

Even the dreaded Nightbringer makes an appearance, drawing the attention of a fearless Vulkan He'stan:

The Necron Annihilator titan marches forward, guns blazing:

And a Trygon bursts from underground, the very sight of it chilling to the hearts of the Tau behind:

Scout Snipers take their steady toll on the death incarnate before them:

While a Space Marine Commander ensures his troops fight valiantly, his mere presence a bolster to the men below:

Devastators from within the complex prepare to take out the ambushing Necrons:

More Scout Snipers, this time situated on the tall building at the back of the imperial sector, take aim at the Chaos threat below:

A nice view down the barrel of the Shadowsword:

Ultramarines atop the bunker fire volleys of bolts at the Chaos forces:

And yet more snipers shoot at the enemy, attempting to break their formation:

War Walkers charge in at the back, all ready to give their lives for their craftworld:

Wraiths prepare to engage the Legion of the Damned:

And finally, a shot of the whole battle:

It's a lot bigger in the flesh.

So, there you have it! (I can't end posts)

Holy Gakkles that is huge. Aside from the unpainted models it is a thing of beauty. My only criticism is the Necron Titan looks a bit...plain. If you could carve some Necron symbols and other various details on to the shoulders and torso it would look a lot better. Also, some of the houses look slightly off.
Aside from that, epicness abounds.

WHY DID YOU NOT PLAY THIS!!!!!!!

But looks like it was fun to put together. I still don't think I would be able to go through all that without throwing around buckets of dice, though.

I can't imagine taking all the time and effort to set that much up without playing a game with it all. That would definitely be a hell of a game!

I'm a little dissapointed with all the unpainted figs, especially considering the time and effort it must have taken to set this all up. The Necron Titan is also a bit 'eh', but aside from that pure scale makes up for any other shortcomings.

Great looking set up, but I don't think my friends and I could set something like that up and not play it! I'm surprised you managed to.
By the way, are you actually planning on using that Necron Titan in Apocalypse? If so, what rules are you using for it?

Thanks for the comments!
As Heatwave said (one of the guys there) the game was played, just without me and my armies
