This is an 1850 point list, don't ask me why but thats what we play typically. It can be brought down to 1750 easily enough.

Between the sheer amount of big shoota/loota firepower and kan wall elements there's enough firebase and then you just have to simply send out the trukks with battlewagon with stormboyz in support. Meanwhile those two elements, the speedfreaks and the kan wall are doing what they do, you turbo boost the Warboss with the 2 koptas and they manage to survive because of their turboboost save and the 7 wounds with toughness 5 and 6 between them. Then they can split off and eat their back line. So far this list thwomps. Who says you need to spam one or the other when you can have both and it's fun to play and super effective!

I find that the mixed speeds are, on the whole, not as effective as sticking to one of the two strategies completely

Agreed.....only because it allows your opponent to deal and focus on parts of your army over several turns instead of facing them all at the same time.
