Quick question: The vindicare's shield breaker round will remove any invulnerable save granted by war gear for the rest of the game to whatever model a wound from that shot is allocated to.(That's the general idea at least, i don't have the codex in front of me.). The scenario is this, my friends vindicare is shooting at my necron lord with the "phase shifter" war gear equipped. This piece of gear grants him a 4+ invulnerable save, lets say the vindicare hits, and wounds the lord with a shield breaker round, can the lord use his invulnerable save to block the shot, or is it just lost flat-out?

If it hits the wargear is gone is my recollection of the shot so no, you would not get to use it

Does this end up opening new wound allocation shenanigans potentially?

e.g. my three suit Crisis team has two shield drones attached - one takes a Shieldbreaker hit, and survives (cover, armour, whatever - not sure on the other stats of the shieldbreaker). Do the shield drones then become two separate wound allocation groups - one for drones with shield generators, one for drones without?

now the Ork Nobz can have and extra layer to divide wounds towards.

I wonder if the lord would regain his invul save if he succeded a WBB roll? I'd say he would.

Actually the vindicare's rule: deadshot, lets the wounds be allocated by the player controlling the vindicare
