Just wondering what you folks prefer for a super heavy transport? I wouldn't mind adding one of these big fellas to my army, but can't afford both As far as rules go, even though I'd only get to play with it like once or twice ever.. I like how the crassus is fully covered and can upgrade to have heavier weapons, but it transports 30. The gorgon is armed a bit lighter with heavy bolters as the heaviest weapons it can take, it can transport 50, but it's open topped.

I love the looks of both models, I guess I like the crassus a little more but that might just be because it's brand new. Actually, I like the new rocket tank version a lot more than the transport version..

So anyway, what would you pick if you were gonna get one for your army?

Yes, I have to agree, do prefer the CRASSUS ARMOURED ASSAULT TRANSPORT to the Gorgon.

Gorgon. The image of that front ramp lowering and 50 Guardsman charging out of it is too awesome.

Then rob a bank, duh.
Also, I think the CRASSUS ARMOURED ASSAULT TRANSPORT looks cooler than the Gorgon.

guess I'll prolly go with the Crassus then, but I might wait for the missile take version before I decide.. might get that instead.

But, for the gorgon isn't there some silly rule where open topped and super heavy = not open topped? or not-as open topped?

You've used your allotted quota.

Necros: best guess is that the Praetor will not actually allow for transport. The hull looks a bit different, and it looks like the missile pod dips into the troop compartment.

yeah I figured the Praetor didn't have transport capacity, guess now I'm trying to decide if racks of missiles in a tank that's blown away in turn 2 is better than transporting 30 guardsmen in a tank that's blown away in turn 2.

I like The gorgon for its transport capacity.

It looks like they're the missiles from the Manticore, and I can't see it getting blown away in turn 2 without some serious shenanigans going on.

As it stands, my Crassus is basically being planned as an objective marker for the time being. Upgraded comms arrays, etc on it to look like an HQ vehicle.
