Hi guys.

I want to start a new army as I've Almost finished my Salamanders. However I'm Torn between doing Orks or IG.

I like the mass infantry of both but I like the ramshackleness of the orks And the Static Bombardement of the IG

Which one d'you guys think i should go for?

Orks.

Orks. Because they are most fun to play. And you are free to paint and model them a you wish, there are no givens. Modeling orky things is awsome fun!!

Answer these questions.

1: can i laugh at failure?

2: even when its my own?

3: can i still have fun when i only get 5 wounds from 60 shots, and saves are yet to be rolled?

4: can i put up with never gettings armor saves on my basic troops?

5: Do i mind losing?

If you answered Yes to 1-3, go with Orks. if you answered yes to 4, pick something else, since neither army has much in the way of armor.

If you answered Yes to 5, you are not an Ork, BECAUSE ORKS NEVER LOSE.
if we win, we won. if we run away, we can come back for another go. if we die, we died fighten so it dont count.

Thanks guys. I think i might go for orks. I like the idea of goin wer da bashinz iz best Howver I think ill buy a box of boys, build em, paint em and see which i prefer.

I've put up an Ork list using scribd. I specificaly used the correct edition (4th).

It's based on mainly biker mobs, Trukks and a few Nob bikers (and the biker HQ)

Only joking. I would go for IG, but that's personally because I would do Vostroyan. Moustaches and russian style armour FTW

Well, you got WaaaAAAGHHHH.

Then you got Artillery.... and flashlights.

Sounds like you've already made up yor mind, but if you want lots of tanks, pick Guard. Vehicles are one of the Guard's strengths and you can use some really good stuff like Vendettas, Demolishers, Executioners etc.

I collect Orks as well, and though I haven't used them in a game or even painted any yet the models are a lot of fun to assemble. The opportunities for conversions are huge.

Your nose...,no seriously though i would say orks if not for all the reasons people have already said but also if you have salamanders already then you should be quite good at painting greens.

The guard are green as well...

I would go Orks as well.
