post pictures of large snowfall/small snowfall, your snow covered house, whatever. or if you live in a hotter climate, what is it like there without snow?

I will start off, with the massive snowfall of a while ago when lived in maryland, about 2 years ago, I think.

I had to shovel this so my dog could leave the house when he needed to defecate.

Sadly, those pics are a bit unrepresentative of last winter, but the amounts of snow was too depressive to photograph

In Florida...at least in the panhandle...it doesn't snow...it may get down to a few degrees below freezing for a few days and we may have something called "freezing rain" or even "sleet" but almost never snow.

It frosts plenty often in the winter though, to the point where if you go outside before it gets too warm, it almost looks like it's snowed lightly during the night, but its really just the dew turning to ice...

EDIT: never snows in Alabama either...well, not unless you go up to the northern third of the state, I've seen light snows up there and in Georgia...kinda looks like somebody sprinkled the trees with powdered sugar...

I remember one year we (my area or N.C. at least) got quite a bit of snow. My dogs enjoyed the weather so much that we had to drag them inside so they could eat.

I havnt taken a picture of the snow in a long ass time, probably because Im the one that shovels up all up since the children are too young to really "help". So I dont really feel like it after shoveling my whole driveway out when theres a couple feet or so on it. We usually have snow storms dump a couple feet on us during the longer parts of winter.

True, we just get ice. Like last winter, when half of Belfast was without running water for about a week due to pipes busting due to the extreme cold/huge amount of ice...

pretty much sums it up for me

as an example, I work in Tescos (a grocery store), and on the second day, within 15 minutes of our store opening at 7AM, we were completely sold out of ALL water, even small 500ml bottles...

Makes you think about what we take for granted...

I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

We don't really get much here. Certainly not enough to bother with snowmen.

But when it freezes over it's a pain, living on top of a hill with twisting roads is bad enough without ice.

We got about 4 inches in Charlotte, NC last winter. The city pretty much shut down. We got school off for 3 days in a row.

Every winter in Canuckistan is the Frosty Apocalypse. There is always that 2-3 week period of -40C car-will-not-start-go-back-to-bed weather. Hell, I've even seen snow fall in August! Here, however, winter is this magical time of mild weather where I can own the beach without others crowding out the starlight.
