The LS thing was a "true" accident,not based on inconsideration for other's property...and I did give you the headstart run you asked for. Besides, it was fixable.

I once had a lodger who cut up a converted and painted Genestealer for no reason. After he'd been kicked out I discovered that he'd also smashed up, into tiny pieces, presumably with a hammer, my scratch-built superheavy transport and my friend's scratch-built Thunderhawk.

This is acceptable if

1) That is your kid brother and your age is 7 or 8.

2) You are +/- 2 years of the kids age.


If none of these apply and you are telling the truth on this, you got major problems...

Speaking of children I have a couple of tales.
During the 'Ard Boyz tourney on of my fellow player's wife came in wit hthere two little boys (trouble brewing, right?) As soon as the door to our FLGS closed behind them the mom turned around and enunciated "Keep you hands at your side and don't touch a thing or I will wear out your ass."
That's parenting one can be proud of.

I have another friend that stops by at night with his small daughter (1 or 2 yrs old). She's really good about not touching things. Well I was running my Orks and had Ghaz on the edge of the table (If you don't know, Ghaz is very heavy and pointy and can cause significant injury if it fell on a young' un. She came up and was reaching for some of my Orks when she tugged on the felt of the playing field and I notice Ghaz teetering close to fall off the table to smah her on the head. I quickly turned but gently moved the figures out of her way and said "No honey, you got to be carefull" this startled her and she started crying. I got joked at for being the big scary monster that I'm not, but no damage done and no injuries.

As for horror stories: We had just finished a all day Tourney and as everybody was putting their stuff up the owner of our store was showing a guy a model he painted from his display case. Mind you this is a three tiered glass case like in a jewelry counter full of models old, new and alot of pewter. He gets out the model in question hands it to the guy he looks commebts on it and sets it back down. As the figure touches the glass top all three tiers shatter sending figures, part and shattered glass everywhere.

Stunned silence..

The owner just stands and says, "I'll get the glue."
LOL

His main concern was replacing the glass.
But it's all back together now.

@ Spinetwista: Don't claim to have done things you didn't do especially not things like that. Its not clever or cool. back on topic: last saturday, my friend and i took oe f my three only spacemarines, and decided to make a new chaos hero. this involved around three hours of cutting, sawing, glueing, green-stuffing and bonding. At that time my friend wanted to paint a cadian, so seeing how good he was at painting (i'll post images of the necron and aforementioned cadian soon), which also took a good few hours.

Anyways, earlier today, we were at our usual club, with some other friends. my guard were facing my friends guard, with my chaos hero (Vaxkhern, Khorn's chosen) on the table for fun. Earlier, my opponent's friend decided his rhino (METAL BAWKSES!!!!!) could powerslide. he then decided it was terrain, so he placedit RIGHT IN THE WAY OF MY MEN. lots of people would have wanted the cover, but:

1) both my squads were nutcase veterans with melta bombs and dem charges.

2) it was in the way of my charge!

so i ask him to move it. both him and my opponent refuse to move it. The head of the club tells them to move it, as i look realy pissed off at this point. they oblige, as they have seen him kick people out before. Vax was hanging with my cadian 101st "funkeyfunkey" regiment (my friend painted the cadian really colourfully, reds, golds oranges, etc) so my oponent gets REALLY peeved, and orders vax off. I remove him, even though it had been explained that he was hanging out and had no purpose in the game, whereas the rhino was played intentionally to obstruct my men.

Later on, my men are pretty screwed. there is 1 squad left, an immobilised russ at the back, and a wrecked demolisher on his top left flank. my friend who painted the cadian decided he could come back and play with us again. NOTE!: if you just wanted the model molester bit, here it is.

my opponent, who has a personal vendetta against him because apparently he's my new "favourite". my opponent then does a number of things:

1) He picks up my model WITHOUT MY PERMSSION.
2) He picks it up BY THE GUN
3) He slams the model so hard into the table that i'm certain i heard the cadian SCREAM with terror.

there are now only a few select people who are allowed to pick up my models. If i see someone pick one up without my permission, i WILL stamp on one of thier models for compensation. I know it's harsh, but i want my models to be safe, unscratched and in one piece. especially ones as good and valued to me as my friend's.

And the most annoying bit:
1)my opponents friend kept pickingup his damn leman russ saying" he doesnt care if i pick up his models" with a big cheesy grin. He might not care about his models, but hes a reckless (dont swear kiddies )

2) He acted like he had i right to do whatever he wanted to my models.

3) He won the game. He didnt deserve it. Tragic.

Pulls out of games with people younger than him when he loses a tomb spider in a 2000pts game, and who's mother has bought sm- company size+ and enough necrons to make the emperor cry. Oh, and like-10 green tides and a few battlewagons. Anyway, I converted Abaddon from a chaos lord and Abaddon himself. He then proceeds to put abaddon on a defiler, allowing him to "ride it". Without my permission. Abaddon then falls off, and the twerp steps on it (accidentally) then laughs apologetically. And he loses my small blast and flamer template. Rawr

I had a really weird incident happen to me not long ago. A little girl apparently knocked one of my new figures to the ground while I was in the restroom, breaking it in half. This girl proceeded to eat the upper half apparently thinking it was candy due to its bright coloration. I'm serious. Somehow she managed to chew up and swallow painted plastic while thinking it was candy. At least her parents were nice and apologetic. They gave me enough money to buy and paint the model three times over again.

There is this worker at our gamesworkshop and he always, ALWAYS, wither breaks the model or drops it, and hes a red shirt, we call him Ham Hands, he even broke the stores air conditioner. But on the contrary, he has some really nicely painted tyranids and has a flyrant (flying hive tyrant) and ive seen so many kids pick it up by the tips of the wings (balrog wings) and almost drop the poor things.

Not a model molester story, but a story none the less. Someone in our LGS was using the bathroom, and took a massive gak. This gak was the gak to end all other gaks. It broke a pipe in the basement, and the water, while it didnt really flood, took out the stores 2000 dollar security system.

Wait... what? lol thats rather... interesting I suppose...

A bunch of teenagers were rough housing in the game store .. (Why would you do such a thing? It isnt a club house) and kicked a hole in the wall a few months ago.. The owner kicked them out since they werent going to pay for any repairs

Honestly thats the main reason I prefer only dealing with adults.. you can actually get money from them if something happens

I dont care if people hand my all plastic miniatures after all thats what varnish is for and they bounce pretty well.. Broken models take 3 seconds to fix but spilling soda on them would suck Im sure.. however sodas arent even allowed on the game tables

I break my models all the time so Im used to it I suppose. I learned to HATE the old metal fantasy dragons because of being like 20 metal parts that always fell apart. When you're young you dont know what pinning is

After a BFG game, to get them out of the way, I put my necron cruisers on a chair. Ten minutes later, not thinking, I sat on the chair.

Fortunately, they were all metal and the damage was repairable. The sound of a half dozen flight stand snapping is something that haunts you, though.

Anyway, time for my story. Ayone who's read the worst sportsmanship thread in it's entirety should hopefully remember my ill-fated Howling Griffons Librarian-The one who got his plastic force weapon munched. Anyway, I fixed him, but I'm starting to believe the Emperor hates the poor spehss mehrien.

I headed on down to the FLGS with my Griffons, and agreed to play our resident girl gamers Cadians-Should be a good game, I thought. While she was talking to her BF, I started Unpacking my stuff-starting with my Land raider, then my Librarian. I put the Librarian on top of my tank, as he was going to start in it. Then, in a fit of madness, decided to put them on the Battlefield's central hill, so I wouldn't forget about him-bad move.

Then I got distracted talking to someone, and she put her case on the table-I'm sure some people can see where this is going. She unclipped it, threw the lid back with quite a bit of force and-a sickening crunch rang out. Yes, my poor Librarian had been crushed. Again.

I can't really accuse her off being a molester though. She was properly mortified about what had happened , and even offered to pay for the damages and repair it herself. I reasoned it was kinda my fault as well though, so I declined. We then had an absolute blast of a game (I lost though-Next time Cadians, next time ), and my reconstructed Librarian is now sitting proud in the stores display cabinet's with a sign underneath saying "Brother Booky Dweebish ( )-the Space Marine who just won't die".

Not really a horror story like some others posted, but I just thought I'd share it with you, Dakka.

This story is about myself and i feel horrible about... We were playing an apoc game and my friend let me borrow his army soe we could field a fully painted force... His orks haven't seen the light of day in years mind u... Anyway as the game proceed model after model comes apart... it was literally raining bits on the table... it was horrible he kept telling me i was holding them wrong even though i was picking them up by th base and everyone thought iwas just hadnling them wrong until in the middle of the opponents turn my friends Deff dread just fell apart... and hit the deff dread next to it and that one also proceded to fall apart...... Ive never ever broken someone elses model until than and i felt horrible about it but... i mean just breathing on them made them fall apart

LLF, that Librarian needs to stay in the display case! That guy is just having the worst run.

Sounds more like they were assembled poorly a long time ago. The poor bond on the superglue just got old & brittle.

I haven't seen it much, but I've seen it.

It seems that theres so many model-molesters out there GAK!

This is why I love my FLGS. At seventeen I'm the youngest individual I've EVER seen in there except on Magic nights.

I'm okay letting others look at my models as I tend to have them pretty firmly assembled. When looking at others' I tend to hold them by the base with both hands like some holy relic, as they always tend to be better-painted than mine for some reason. If they're large or fragile-looking and I've still been granted permission I'll scoot it to the end of the table and turn it to get a closer look. Better safe than sorry when a near-stranger put 6+ hours of work into it.

Didn't happen to me, but I was in the smaller of the two FLGS here a little while back, and this one kid (probably around 14 or 15) was playing against a Nid army with his Orks. When the Nid player charged into CC, the Ork kid let out the loudest "WAAAAAAAAGH" that I had ever heard. He then smashes his fists into the flimsy chipboard table (while still WAAAAAGHing), which sent minis flying EVERYWHERE. Orktard started to laugh like mad and kind of 'hobble' from left to right like the Warbosses in DoW, which resulted in several crushed Nids. Well the store owner, who had messed up one of the members of a SW squad he was working on for a promo display thanks to the Ork player's howl, grabbed a metal ruler from a nearby table and full on walloped the idiot in the back of the head. He then grabbed him and carried him out of the store by his collar, locking the door behind him.

As a final "Stay out" message, he took the pot of Spacewolves Grey he was using and dumped the whole thing on the kid's Warboss. He left it to dry while he put the kid's minis back in their case, and then gave the case, and the ruined Warboss, back to the kid and said "You're no longer welcome in this store" before locking the door again.

Single greatest thing I have ever been witness to
