pricey lil brick...ever considered scratchbuilding that yourself? you could use other kits like maybe a bomber of these stealth planes...


and also some starwars models could help there...

yeah well, as it happens i have the kit of the stealthbomber lying around my workshop^^ so if ever i plan on building a valk or a stormraven this will be the first place to go from^^

BTW I got bored and converted a shoota boy to a burna.
He has the body of a shoota boy, but holding the trigger and end of a shoota, the main body of which is a sentinel leg (I know, wierd, eh?), and ending in a flamer barrel. This gun is connected via tube to a fuel tank on his back. He looks decent, and when I accumulate the bits I'll make a squad of them.

orks were my second army which I bought off my brother- I then added mr potato head and a further 10-man squad. It currently sits at around 60 boyz (inc. 3 nobz), ghazzie, the AOBR warboss, 5 nobs, robospud, a battlewagon, a deffkopta and 5 kommandos.
the thumb's getting better- as long as I have a plaster on it and I don't bang it, it's okay. I can't button up my top button of my school shirt, though...darn it- no suffocating at school...

Well, since it's half term, I'll be busy painting and such. I still need the right parts for the dread's arm- I did have the FW seige dread DCCW, but I've lost the wrist and arm. I have the main mount, so I've cut up a sentinel's legs and used a foot as a CCW, with the "toes" bent forwards...I just need the right forearm...

the ccw idea is a really nice one...never tzhought about that, but then again all my stuff is second hand and sometimes i really should save up some money to get me a fresh kit one day... i reall think about getting me a cadian set...man that building is for me now the real fun...

funny i knew you had the `tato head man but i never thought about you having an army of ´em too^^

and a quite big one at that...

very resourcefull^^

I reccommend the following kits for IG to build:
-sentinel. The legs are just too fun to pose.
-command squad. Lots of bits, extra weapons, and even a bandage roll and banner.
-catachan. The poses can be really fun.

well i got five catachans last week and built my vets from them... so i fully have to say i loved making them... now with the heavy weapons i say they are cool too...

got a half spend HQ sprue and i want to do the sniper next...this will take some time as some bitz have to arrive in the mail...

well i think the sentinel would be lovley too, but i got me now five of the red block walkers from AT 43 and they will have to be the sents now...

buying up already built minis isn´t as much fun as building them themself...but it gets you almost three times as much mins...deal with the devil and all that stuff...

do you have a GS near you?
I fully recommend the space marine assault squad- lots of poses available for that...I know you're doing IG, but still...

yeah well, same thing with all my SM stuff, all from ebay, all second hand but i converted like evil maniac with them and cut me through most of them...still will be working on the earthangels one day again...

have you actually worked with GS? i have a galeforece nine two tubes worth at home and also a fully unused milliput package at home but i am too afraid to use it...

lol we in berlin have only two GW shops and some other shops where they try to not sell GW stuff^^ well they all try to get the gamers to play other stuff... like warmachine...
getting the stuff i think is not the prob since you can buy the boxes from GW on their site, but actally flogging the money to them kind of hurts me in the soul...

I'd buy the tanks and metal kits, as they're no fun to build...plastics infrantry? Go nuts. Unless you're fed up with it.
BTW have you considered having a jolly good steampunker riding a jolly good horse?

of course... i guess now i should post some of my cavalry minis...got lots of fantasy imerial pistolieres riders and a noble rider from an old fantasy range too...and then some lancers (about 5-8 i guess) so i have quite a steampunky force waiting to be painted and remodeled...

i think it will take much longer with plastic kits to get fed up with... thats for me now the major fun part...only downpoit here re the fething moldlines...darn things...

Get a load of empire cavalry with blunderbusses and such, and re-model them to have IG torsos, heads and legs...
I see a steampunk mounted commander with blunderbuss and power sword...

just you wait and see...gosh sometimes it feels like i wanted to do all of my army at once in one go^^...
i fear if i dont purchase massive amounts of torsos i will have to do with the armoredm torsos of fantasy though just with the occasionla bit of 40k detail added and a matching paintjob...

but your right the head would be just right for him...

If you want the commander before that, how about you pin the head to the body, but don't glue it in place. that way, when I get to give you the head, you can just pop it right on!

sounds like a clever idea...i have to see if i am able to do that this way... hmmm i never pined such small details... but after all this head might be able to get then more justice in painting then...

are you doing pale skin on him or not?
and BTW before you go posting him onto your blog, where other people bother to look at, make sure you paint the head/basecoat it...some don't take kindly to copying models...
